I HAVE ONE X206 SERVER, DUE TO UPS PROBLEM IT WAS NOT SHUTDOWN PROPERLY. NOW POWER IS COMING INTO MACHINE, BUT THERE IS NO DISPLAY. WHAT TO DO NOW?

Hi,

Since there is no display , we have to reset the ram(Memory).
1: Remove the server cover and remove all the ram from the server
2: Power on the server , check any beep sound comes from server
3: Insert single ram , power on the server, check for display
4: If display comes insert second ram .Repeat the steps till you insert the all the ram
5: If you notice no display while inserting specific ram , just remove that ram

That's all

Note: Each time you inset / remove ram from server make sure the server is switched off. Otherwise it will destroy ram as well as server

Please vote if it helps you

Thanks

No ram beep comes without ram and no display

> No RAM beep comes without RAM.

That is to be expected -- when the motherboard does _NOT_ detect any properly-mounted RAM, the motherboard sounds the "no-RAM" beep.

> and no display

Correct. Without RAM, the computer cannot "paint" anything onto the video screen.

Ok well i have a compaq presario 2013WM Prod#: RE468AA S/N: CNH6381M2M desktop computer and i have every cord plugged in and the main system box (where you turn it on) and when you turn it on the green...

The beeping sound (beep code) has already indicated that the system has a Memory issue, i.e. Missing or Bad memory (Memory = Ram). Turn off the System, remove the Power cord from the back, open the case and reinstall the ram or if there are two, then uninstall one of them, Turn on the machine and verify whether you still hear the beeps or not. if not then the other Ram is the culprit or wasn't properly installed, clean it with a Rubber Eraser (pencil eraser) and reseat it. Remember, hardware install and uninstall should be done only when the machine is off and power cord unplugged.

If after removing one of the Ram doesn't seem helpful and the problem persists, they swap them, reseat the uninstalled and remove the one on the slot. Reboot the system and verify.

If there's only one Ram, then you'll need to purchase a new one or should have a replacement, otherwise, you'll not be able to troubleshoot this issue.
You can also check the difference in beep sequence, remove the Ram (s) and power on the Computer, you should hear the same beeps.
If there are two Rams, then at least one of them should be working, I don't think both would die at the same time :-)
Let me know if you need further help.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Beeeeep beep beep sounds on start

The beep comes when the RAM is not detceted by the Mainboard during the system start up. It's usually accompanied by no display on the Monitor.

Open the Notebook and remove the RAM and place it back again and check if it work. you can even try by inserting the RAM in different slot too.

If the problem still persists, replace the RAM.

That's it.

Constant beeping when powered up, no display

If the beeping is constant, check your keyboard for any keys that are stuck in the depressed position.

No display, no beep when ram is removed, power led flash for one time and sleeping

some computer do not come with an internal speaker. So then you would hear no beeps. Verify your pc has a internal speaker, either directly on the motherboard, or attached inside the case and plugged in to the motherboard. If you have a speaker, have removed the RAM, and hear nothing when powering on the system, you have a faulty motherboard. It would need to be replaced.

SYSTEM is neither turning on nor giving any beep sound.

Check the settings of your Bios or go back to the default settings.

3 beep sound coming

Open your chassis (cabinet) and look for the bios jumper on the motherboard. It is located near the SATA ports next to the Front Auxiliary Fan connector. Put the jumper in 2-3 to enable maintenance mode. This will allow you to enter bios settings. Then redo any changes that you had made, i.e. reset the memory configuration to auto and save the changes and exit.
Now replace the jumper in 1-2 position. Reboot. And your system will work fine.

PC beeping, monitor will not display

we have different sound we can hear in cases of hardware problem, once the video card has loose contact it also beep continously, a beep sound also occurs when the ram(memory card) loose contact, one beep sound when it boot clearly it proceeds as go signal going to operating system. if you are using an upgraded video card remove temporarily and use the on-board from your motherboard. in case that it won't boot and still you hear a beep, beep ,sound then, switch-off the power take out the memory card clean the contact points(bronze color) with pencil eraser, make sure that no remaining residues of eraser remained before you install to the slot. i hope that this solves your problem
