You cant really all you could hope for is the pcb and the inside of the phone to dry out. With some luck you will have your phone working again. If not there is nothing you can do. My guitar had water damage but fixed itself. I hope your problem fixes itself.

I have a virgin mobile Awe zte. Water got spilled on it and now my power button won't work and it only charge up to 35 percent. What can I do to fix this situation? I've tried rice

Hi Keandra,

Unfortunately rice rarely works. Its not the water that damages phones its the minerals in the water that corrodes components and shorts connections once the waters gone.

as a last chance you can try a specialist repair kit that will remove them,

How to avoid water damage for Iphone

In order for you to avoid water damage cause by moisture, avoid putting the iphone in high temperature
did you know that there is a water/moist indicator at the headset port which apple technical support can easily detect if you left your iphone under extreme heat.

Hi, I droped my iPhone 4 in water. The iPhone stopped responding. The touch function is no longer working. I would like to know if its possible to repair it and what is the estimate...

It all depends on the extent of the damage. The digitizer is just one thing to stop working. The rest of the phone might go soon, and water damage isn't covered under warranty.
I can get you a website link of parts, but you might just be better off buying another phone.

How much do they charge to fix an iPhone 3G with water damage?

Hello, and thanks for using FixYa.
Ouch! if the mainboard of the phone has to be replaced. 8GB board costs around 180$
It won't be cheap, you could try taking it apart and drying it yourself. Take it completely apart, put it in a airthight container filled with rise and close it up, leave it in a warm room for 2-3 days. The rise absorbs the moisture, and the heat dries any water remaining. Then put it back together and hopefully it works. You can probably see a guide on how to take yours apart at http://www.powerbookmedic.com/iphone/

Please let me know if you require further assistance or if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Ekse

Water damage. never been near water. we are told it was in cold weather and the condensation caused water to get inside.

Unfortunately water damage is usually permanent because it results in a short circuit which often fries the boards. However, if your electronics device made contact with water while OFF, fear not. It should still work provided that you wait until the innards are dry and the water evaporated. The water build up probably came from water condensation. If it hasn't fried, dry it out REALLY well and hope that it hasn't already been damaged. If you already turned it on without luck, then it looks like you have a broken iPhone on your hands. Sorry.

Iphone water damage

I tried everything to get my iphone to work after a small incident with a toilet bowl. I used rice, silica packs, blow dryer, towels in the sun, etc. My brother-in-law told me about the ifixyouri website he used for his broken screen. I called them up and they walked me through the website and I over night fedex shipped it to them. I really wanted my iphone to work again, because like an idiot I never backed it up in iTunes. Well, I just received it back in the mail and................IT WORKS!!!!!! So, I am recommending them to everyone. I am soooooo happy. Good luck!!!! The site is www.ifixyouri.com
