Boot from the Windows XP CD-ROM.
Choose 'R' to "repair".
This will start the "Recovery Console".
Run the 'DISKPART' utility to create a new partition.
Remove the CD-ROM, and then type 'exit' to shutdown the Recovery Console.
Insert the first of the 10 "recovery" CDs, and start the reload/recovery.

Computer doesn't recognize CD-ROM

Click on the link below and click on the "Fixit" button. It's a registry patch from Microsoft for unrecognized CD/DVD devices. Best of luck.

If your computer came with xp already installed all you will need is the windows COA (it's the label with the windows serial number) you can download it from http://www.microsoft.com

I can not find the product key for my PC

there are several downloadable programs available online, do a search for "xp keyfinder" or "find xp key software" in your favorite browser. read everything before you use one. a bad key program could bring in a virus....any always make sure you have a legit copy of windows or you could find yourself in a position where you cant activate or update your software... hope this helped..

Cannot get windows xp back on to my computer.

Assuming the computer has a Microsoft XP product code tag on it (so you can be legit & legal), see if you can borrow an XP installation CD from a friend.

Sometimes the reinstall is set up on a separate partition on the hard disk, which of course, is totally useless if the hard drive has failed in a catastrophic way.

You could also contact Packard Bell (I thought this company was history), to see if replacement disk(s) are available. Have your computer's Model & Serial handy. The disks won't be free, but likely much less than a Walmart etc, supplied edition.

Be sure you have a 64-bit system before installing this will not work on a 32-bit system.

No memory on my windows xp

Hello,

If the drive properties in show a full drive, then the install of xp probably has taken most or all of the hard drive space.

According to http://www.microsoft.com/middleeast/windows/windowsxp/home/evaluation/sysreqs.aspx
the operating system needs at least 1.5G.

Thanks

I have miss placed my key code for windos xp software, and I have just re format my computer. And now i can't activate xp to operate, because it needs the 25 key code character. i have lost my product key

then you'll need to look on your computer, or call MSoft and hopefully, they will re issue you that key, assuming it's a fully legit copy, that is.
