Question about Whirlpool GS6NBEXR Side by Side Refrigerator
Not on this particular Whirlpool model, but on ones that have the ice bucket sitting on a shelf or resting in side rails in the freezer. The ice bucket awger which is the thick metal thing in the bucket that turns and pushes the ice through the bucket can get out of alignment with the awger motor which is behind the bucket when it is in the freezer. Just make sure these are lined up properly and the bucket is pushed all the way back. Some models, (like Sub Zero) have a switch that needs to be engaged to let it know the bucket is in, in order for it to work.

Check the teperature of the freezer compartment . the ice harvest actuates on teperature. and refill with water at the end of harvest cycle.. a lot of times the condensor under your fridge can become plugged with dust and the freezer teperature never achives low enough to harvest ice..good luck

this could be the:
door switch (usually 2 switches, 1 for the light and 1 for the dispenser) auger motor itself the dispenser switch or the plug near the hinge that connects the door the the refrigerator has a bad connection. this connection is hidden under a plastic hinge cap usually.

your model # is incomplete but here it goes.
1.take your ice container out and run hot water thru it. you want to defrost all of the ice build up inside of it's housing.
2. make sure the long lever under the container moves up & down when you press on it.
3.w/the container removed, you will see a fork like object and next to it amn openning w/a small plastic square part inside. make sure that part moves freely up & down. that solenoid is what gives cubed ice.
let's start there first
