How do i do cube roots on my ti89 calculator

To find the cubed root of say...64, you would type:

root(64,3)

What you should do is just put the expression to the (1/3) power. so x^(1/3) = cube root of x

To find the cubed root of say...8, then you would type this into the calculator:

root(8,3)
