That is great the the ignitor lights up but is it actually drawing the proper amount of amperage? An ignitor is supposed to draw between 3-3.3 amps any less then this would constitute a weak ignitor where it either does not get hot enough to lite the gas or takes to long to light the gas and the safety kicks in and shuts the gas off so you do not get an explosion in your unit. This is one of the first steps that you should take is to use a multimeter set to measure amperes and test one of the wires that goes to the ignitor. 2.9 would still constitute replacing the ignitor. You also have thermistors and thermostats as shown on this diagram part numbers 6, and 7 click this link as well http://c.searspartsdirect.com/lis_png/PLDM/50037420-00005.png both of these should be tested with the multimeter as well by performing a continuity test on both to assure they are both working. Lastly you would look at the gas valve although most units do have coils located ontop of the valve which can be replaced that act as a solenoid yours as to the picture comes as a whole.
