shut off system restore in system properties in control panel and then do a boot time scan of your antivirus. somewhere in your antivirus settings will be a boot time scan, which means the antivirus will run before windows starts, turn that on then reboot, let the antivirus clean it up. restart . turn restore back on, run checkdisk by right clicking your c drive in my computer navigate further untill you find checkdisk and run that to make sure your registry is OK.. download ad aware and spybot over up and above your antivirus and dont fileshare unless you know how to check the files before you download them..

you can get a good free one by microsoft.
google for microsoft security essentials.
install. run a full scan.
this should detect and clean/remove any viruses it detects.

Don't install two antivirus at a time, if you are installing one of them or if there's any antivirus program installed on your computer, please uninstall and install the new one, otherwise you may have another problem with your problem.

First install Avast and run a full system scan, then check the scanned result, if you are sure that those trojans or virus etc..etc.. are removed, you are done, no need to uninstall and reinstall the other, or if you still doubt, you can try with the other two after the first one is uninstalled.

First of all you should have antivirus software disk or Antivirus setup file which you have downloaded

If you do not have one, download one of these and once the download is complete, Run the Setup file. It will complete the installation.

Once the Software Installation is complete. On the right side corner of your pc ( where the Clock/time is ) you will find an icon. you can click on it and run the Scan option to scan virus in your pc

you better be getting that for free.. other wise you may be wasting your money.. mcafee is not one the best antivirus known out there.

keep in mind that downloading the antivirus is not the same as installing the antivirus and getting it to run.. so look for the installation package you download and look for a file that's called setup.exe and run it to actually install the antivirus. once install, configure automatic updates for your antivirus and you should see the macfee icon on the system tray (bottom rigth area where the clock is).
