Problem with Panasonic DMR-E85H/FIOS trying to download TV guide schedule from Motorola QIP6200
I have repeatedly tried to download the TV guide schedule and have not had any luck. IR is set up correctly. When I turn off the DVD-Recorder it appears that it is trying to read the schedule from the Motorola box (in other words I see the channels changing on the cable box).
I am able to set up manual date/time for recordings but it sure would be nice to be able to use the TV guide schedule.
Any help or recommendations would be very much appreciated.

Re: Cannot download TV Guide schedule-Verizon FIOS
I would suggest you follow this in the order i gave you Ok
Leave the unit turned off until the unit downloads the television program list. This may take up to a maximum of 24 hours.
When the unit is connected to a cable TV box, the cable TV box
must be turned on in order to download the television program list.
When the unit is connected to a cable TV box, note that the
television program list may not be downloaded correctly if you change the channel of the cable TV box while the unit is turned off. If you find “There is no data for this screen” on the television when you turn the unit on, the unit has not yet downloaded the program list

There might be a TV Guide issue located in your area, since the transition to digital, TV Guide have been updating there broadcast frequency which is know been done by CBS. Have unit reset by holding down channel up and down button for 15 second on the unit itself until 12 flashes on display, then power on unit and setup TV Guide, then have unit off for 24 hours especially between 11pm to 6am for listing. If issue still exist contact Panasonic to have issue send to TV Guide.

Try unplugging the DMR-E85 power cord. It is important that you unplug it from the back of the recorder, not the wall. Leave it unplugged for 10 or 15 minutes. For good measure disconnect the cable 'in' connection as well. Once both lines are plugged back in it will go through its self-check diagnostics. Leave it alone for awhile (give it time to consider the error of it's ways). If you are lucky, when you turn it back on it will ask you to verify the channel lineup. If this does work, and all the channel info is correct, press 'enter' (lineup 1 highlighted). Good luck! This is an awesome machine, WHEN IT WORKS!
That's frustrating huh! I finally found someone at the cable company that knew somthing.. I think it's channel 95 (might be 94), if you tune to that channel, sometimes it get's it immediately, other times it needs some time to download it. But make sure you're tuning to that channel in your line up. In the setup mode you can specify it if it doesn't do it automatically. (just spend some time in setup and you'll see what I mean)
