Washer stops after 10 minutes or so - H and F flash alternately. If I press Cancel and then start it will run again for 10 minutes and again the same. If I cancel after this frustration I cannot open the door. I can use the drain or rinse cycles but the wash is a problem. This just started recently and I dont know why. Can you help?

Does your machine have a flow meter? Several items can cause this to happen.

http://www.repairclinic.com/SmartSearch/SSPartDetail.aspx?PartID=1381535&PPStack=1

Follow this link to see what the flowmeter looks like.
Pop the top by removing the three screws on back top and push back and lift the panel. Behind the white box or dispenser on the left hand side you will see a black tube going to your fill valves, if there is one as pict at the link, shut off the water, undo the clips and noting flow direction fasten the leads of a ohm meter on to the leads. Watching the display blow into the flow meter, the ohms should go from 0 to above 14 if not replace. Also check the serial connect and trace to the ccu and unplug, plug in the connect.

It has an HF error code. What does this mean?

If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine, the valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed.
OR
If the control has turned the water valves on, and after 8 minutes, the flow sensor has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing through it, but has not detected the pressure switch trip, the valves will be turned off, and the error code will flash.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

Possible Causes / Procedure

• If there is no water in the unit:
- Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned on all the way.
- Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the inlet valves.
- Verify inlet valve operation.

• If there is water in the unit:
- Verify drain pump operation.
- Verify that the pressure switch hose is in good condition and properly connected to tub
and pressure switch.(make sure the pressure switch hose is not filled with water as well. If so, replace the pressure switch asap).

1. Verify there is not a siphon problem.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Verify wire harness connections to inlet valves, pressure switch, drain pump, flow meter,
and Central Control Unit (CCU).
4. Check all hoses for possible leaks.
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
6. Verify pressure switch operation.
7. Verify flow meter operation by blowing air through the part and measuring the resistance.
8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any cycle.

Replace failed component.

I have the whirlpool duet and it stops mid-cycles and flashed FH on the screen. why?

This code typically indicates a fill problem. Much of the diagnosis of the problem depends on whether there is water getting into the machine. If there is no water getting to the machine then check the water inlet valve. Unplug the machine, turn off the water, and remove the suppy hoses. Check the small metal screens inside the openings on the valve. Make sure they are clear of rust or debris. Check the solenoids using a multimeter or ohmmeter and test continuity. A lack of continuity will mean a bad solenoid and the valve assy will need replaced.
If there is water going into the machine, then check for a faulty water level switch. Make sure the plastic tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub is clear of any obstruction and is not damaged in any way. This code can also be generated by a faulty flowmeter. These are some things to consider.
If no water is detected filling the washer within 30 seconds, then the valve will be shut off and the code will be displayed OR if the water has turned on and after 8 minutes the flowmeter has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing through it, but has not detected a pressure switch trip, then the code will be displayed. These are the parameters that will cause generation of the FH code. Rather convoluted and I hope that you are able to follow my ramblings. Really sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

Kenmore HE4T washer won't rinse. Valves open to

An HF Code is a Water Inlet Problem- No or Insufficient Water Supply.

Press Pause/Cancel twice to cancel the cycle. Then, unplug the washer.

Run down the list again:
Make sure faucets are completely turned on.
Make sure the fill vavles (screens where water enter machine) aren't clogged.
Make sure the hoses aren't kinked, etc.

Plug the machine back in. Try another cycle. If the problem still occurs, You may need to replace your Water Fill Valve. Let me know if you need any further assistance.
