It could be that the ringtone isn't in a compatible format in compliance to your phone. What's the model of your phone, and the filetype of the ringtone?

    No prob hycosubsea.

If it doesn't come out amongst the list of ringtones, it means that it isn't in a compatible ringtone format, or it isn't even a ringtone.. Could be a video or something, or something that isn't even designed for your phone. You have to check the filetype of the ringtone, and then refer to the list of compatible formats your phone accepts, according to your phone's user manual.

Once you know the list of compatible filetypes, post them here, so maybe I can help out with your problem.

I have an LG GT540 and i have an almost empty memory card inserted in it but it says it is removed insert a new one! What do i do? HELP!

That happened to me before. You didn't say how many gigabytes your memory card is, but i believe your phone isnt accepting your memory card because it has too many gigabytes. Try getting a memory card with less gigabytes like a 2G card.

2. remove sd micro card and use a card adapter to plug into the PC. copy to the sd card.

I downloaded the song Burn It To The Ground by Nickleback,it said it was a successfull download but I cannot find it on my ringtones. Why can't I find it to set to my ringtone?

if you mention the model or brand of the handset, it'd be easier to help you, well, you can try this, when a files is downloaded there's a particular folder where you're downloaded files are saved, (Received files/download files etc..), so do check inside your phone or memory where these folders are located. You can set the download directory from your internet settings. Good luck...

Free Downloads for ZTE C79 Cell Phone from MetroPCS

WHat up? Ok to get the ringtones to your phone (which I have searched for two days to find a solution) do the following

1.) get your desired .mp3, or .mid ringtone file and have it on your pc.
2.) log into your email (yahoo, hotmail, etc), create an email and attach the .mp3 file. Make sure the .mp3 file in under 500k in size.
3.) in to TO: box enter the following ,<yourphonenumber>@mymetropcs.com and send it.
4.) check your message box when your phone chimes.
5.) press the Get button to download the file to your phone. If your file is over 500k it may not download.
6.)Now go to your inbox
7.) press the Browse button to stop the file from playing.
8.) make sure the file is selected, press the Up button (Top outter ring of the middle menu button)
9.) press the options button, select "use higlighted object" and save it to your phone.
10.) the file will now be in the MyTUnes folder and you can now set it as your main ringtone or a contact ring tone. (I'm typing this from memory so my menu selection names may be off a little but this shold get yall going. I was HYPE when I found this solution. I'm now searching on how to get the games on it.

Hope this helps!

I've tried to copy movies to my Viewty (I have a 2gb card) but keep getting the message "unsupported". Is there a particular type of movie i should be trying to copy (divx, .avi, etc)?

Mobile phones usually only accept a format called 3gp but some phones take mp4 format. I don't know which this phne will take but you should try 3gp first as this seems to be more common among mobile phones. You should be able to download a 3gp video converter off the internet.

Lg scoop phone AX260 need help transfering mp3 from computer to ringtones

There actually IS a way to use your own MP3s as ringtones. You will need Web Access from Alltel, which costs $1.99 per day or $5.99 for a month. I put up a step-by-step guide to successfully using MP3s as ringtones on my blog: http://blog.edirectories.info/2008/09/add-mp3-ringtones-scoop-ax260/

Trouble shooting my phone

Some phones dont accept the different ringtones we now have. You know how they offer poly and mono? Perhaps you bought a mono ringtone when your phone only use poly or maybe the other way around.

If you bought a ringtone by a tv add, then that may be the case.
If you have internet on the phone, and bought it off there it will depend which phone company you are with. Look up their site vodaphone.com virgin.com etc. , and have a look at their help section.

With vodaphone, I know that once you buy it from the internet on the mobile, you download it autmatically. But you have to save it.

Hope that helps somewhat.
