- I was told that opening up my camera while its still on can ruin your card and it can't be refromatted. I just need to make sure I don't lose pics before I do this. I guess my only other option is to let the battery run out. any other suggestions ?

- additionally I connected the usb to the computer and nothing happened.
Try first removing the batter for about 5 minutes to refresh the camera, then make sure also that the battery is fully charge...then after that check the camera again...
Hope that helps.........

- You try to connect the camera to your computer via usb cable so you can retrive first all the data inside it, then after that tuinr the camera off and remove the battery........

- There's a small chane that those pictures will be gone because, when you take a picture autaomatically its save on your SDcard, so if you want to make sure about thgat just let the battery run out......

removing your sd card wont loose your data because its already save on your sd memory card. you should have a back up for that. if you have a card reader device then you can transfer your files from your sd card to your computer. so that you wont be afraid of loosing your data. hope that helps!
