I was told that opening up my camera while its still on can ruin your card and it can't be refromatted. I just need to make sure I don't lose pics before I do this. I guess my only other option is to let the battery run out. any other suggestions ?

Removing your sd card wont loose your data because its already save on your sd memory card. you should have a back up for that. if you have a card reader device then you can transfer your files from your sd card to your computer. so that you wont be afraid of loosing your data. hope that helps!

Try first removing the batter for about 5 minutes to refresh the camera, then make sure also that the battery is fully charge...then after that check the camera again...

Hope that helps.........

There's a small chane that those pictures will be gone because, when you take a picture autaomatically its save on your SDcard, so if you want to make sure about thgat just let the battery run out......

How do I transfer pics from my pc back on to my fuji S5700 camera

You'll need to use a card reader. Once the memory card is in a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB), the card will appear to the computer as another external hard drive, and you can copy files to it the same way you usually copy files.
Be aware that if you've done any editing of the pics (opening a pic in a photo editor and then saving it without doing anything counts as editing), the camera most likely won't display it.

I down loaded the software for a fuji finepixj10...i can not download pictures...it will not open

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Hi,

You have a defective zoomunit. It must be replaced. Contact your local Sony center for repair. Or contact Rotronica in the Netherlands for replacement parts.

Black screen when camera is on...did you get an answer?

One configuration option for the F700 is to turn off the LCD when taking pictures and use the view finder-- this saves battery power. If you press the DISP button to the right of the LCD should turn on.
.
To turn the LCD back on-- Press MENU/OK (you should see the SELF TIMER screen). Press RIGHT ARROW to select the SET option. Press UP ARROW to select the SETUP option. Press MENU/OK. You should see the SET-UP screen. Use the UP/DOWN Arrows to navigate the options; use the LEFT/RIGHT Arrows to cycle through the options. The IMAGE DISP and the LCD options control when the LCD is powered on.

Check your manual to find out how to disable date time etc. You may not be able to however it could be part of the system. Check out Olympus Tech Help Team on the website if all else fails
