Hello Heather,
Most labels can be removed with isopropal alcohol without affecting the painted surface.. Try a small amount on a clean cloth to verify that it doesn't 'cut' the paint.. ..but that should work for you..

Make gaskets easier to remove with common household product

Any mechanic will tell you; scraping away old gasket material from gasket surfaces ranges from tedious (at best) - to downright hazardous to both man and machine. The ever present risks are razor blade injury to hands - and similar damage to the gasket surface being scraped clean. Neither are pleasant.

There are a number commercially available gasket removal products - and they all work great, but they're not usually nearby when needed. What I have found to work equally well - and is usually only as far away as my kitchen: oven cleaner. The aerosol variety made by Easy Off is my personal favorite. First remove as much of the remaining gasket as possible by pulling on it or light scraping. Then spray the oven cleaner on, let it sit for about 15 minutes, and scrape away even the most stubborn, baked on gaskets, with ease.

Of course, you will want to observe all of the precautions on the product label. And be advised: oven cleaner will damage painted surfaces. Use of this product - along with a sharp-edged gasket scraper - will not only save you time and (possibly) physical pain, but will also lower the potential for inflicting damage to the gasket surface.

How do I recoat my microwave?

I assume you want to paint it. Preparation is the key. Rustoleum has some pretty good products that look close to stainless steal. Clean the outside thoroughly. The paint will only stick well to metal surfaces. Plastics will tend to crack and peel. Tape and paper off all the parts of microwave not being painted. You will not want to get paint on labels, keypad, plastics or the door seal. Paint takes and hour to dry between coats. Practice with long strokes on something else first. Several thin coats is better than one thick one. Fumes can be strong. Outdoors without wind or a garage will be the best area to paint. Paint is oil based and you will need paint thinner( or WD-40 in a pinch ) for cleanup. I don't think painting would be wise inside the microwave. I painted my range hood, and I swear it looks like its stainless steel. I used the brushed nickel color. Good luck.

Painter has left small line of white vinyl matt emulsion (from ceiling -no masking tape used ) along the top left hand edge of the new stainless steel cooker hood - out of eye line but visible. how can I...

Luckily, vinyl matt emulsion paint is water based and is fairly easy to remove. Use half a wooden garden washing line peg or similar piece of softwood with s mild solution of washing up liquid. The wood will rub the paint off the metalwork and the washing liqid will lubricate without the metalwork so not to damage it.
Hope this helps.

How do you clean the baby pro bottle warmer?

Ice container, measuring containers, and baskets: Dishwasher-safe (top rack only).

Measuring containers should be placed in a dishwasher basket. Or wash in warm water
using mild liquid soap. Rinse with clear water.

Bottle Warmer unit and removable cooler: Always turn OFF and unplug before cleaning.
Wipe surface of unit as well as inside of cooler and cooler lid, and inside of warming
chamber with a damp cloth or sponge using mild liquid soap. Wipe with clear water. Air dry.
Do not immerse in water. Do not use scouring pads, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as
these could damage the unit.

Warming chamber (optional): Mineral deposits (usually white in color) may form on the
inner surfaces of the warming chamber and can cause damage to the unit. To remove them:
1. Unplug the unit.
2. Remove the basket, and wash separately as indicated above.
3. Pour 2 oz. vinegar into the warming chamber and let it stand for an hour or two (longer if
necessary).
4. Pour out the vinegar and rinse the chamber two or three times by pouring in, then
emptying out, 3 or 4 oz. of plain tap water. Do not immerse the Bottle Warmer in water.
Wipe dry or air dry.

Dishlex dx 302 heat drying

Found I had no hot water in my Dishlex DX302 and did a google search and found this page.

My problem was found to be the same as the others; one of the solder joints on the relay on the control board had arced off.
You could see the burn mark on the board and cover where it had been arcing.

Soldered it back together, and now it seems to be going good again.
Now my only problem is a damaged door seal, which means a small water leak; I have used part of a rubber glove to bridge the gap, and it reduces the water leak.
