Depending on the video card you have installed, your system may not be able to support the optimal resolution of the monitor.
Not all video cards support a 1440 x 900 display resolution.

Alba 22 Inch monitor drivers

You need to explain your actual problem. What operating system, graphics card, PC, resolution required, monitor model number, connector type being used (VGA, DVI, HDMI) etc.
Monitors don't usually require drivers to work. Drivers for your graphics card may affect operation or you may be using the wrong lead/connector/interface.

LG monitor, Win7 and windows resizing on power cycle

Well you see this is a function of how this, any, monitor work, you see after coming back, from "Being Asleep" it does NOT hold, the last settings onboard, thus when it awakes, it must "Ask" the PC, what resolution do you want me to display in?... Then when it receives an answer, it THEN switches to that resolution. It is not anything you have done nor a setting...just a function, of the PC & Software and HDMI standards. What you need to do is create Profiles, for the Monitor, this will help. You didn't say exactly what your Video card is? If it is ATI. then make a profile using Catalyst Control Center. This way you can command programs to open at a particular size etc. With NVIDIA use the Control Panel. There are other tools as well like Powerstrip, this gives almost complete control over every aspect ot card and monitor and allows multiple profiles. link below. -

Built in speakers not regestering on computer

Do you have a Sound Card installed in your computer, if not. Buy one at any local pars store. Now, if you have one installed. Then you must update your drivers or you are plugging your cable to a wrong output. Use the light green 1/8" connection.

We have a hp m8000 pavillion with a 17 " monitor purshased 2007. we bought a hannspree 22" lcd widescreen a couple of days ago. when we plug it in its say no signal. however when we plug it into our lap...

that happened to me. I felt stupid when I discovered what i did wrong. I attached the monitor cable to the connector at the top of the back of the computer(where it is supposed to attach, right?) - but, there was another connector for the monitor at the bottom of the computer which had been a special "card" add on. the monitor jack at the top did come with a plastic covering which meant not to use it. i thought the covering was just a protector, i didn't know. live and learn i guess.

Yes, you may be able to google it or download one from the company's website that made the monitor. Sometimes the monitor is not compatible with the computer until you download a driver. I'm assuming you're using A/V cables when using the TV with the computer. Often computers do not display well with a/v connections until you install a driver. Hope this helps.
