Question about Projection Televisions
It sounds like an internal electronic component is faulty. More likely a burned capacitor and resistor. Try taking off the TV chassis and look for any burned components inside. Replacing those could fix the issue. It seems like the convergence IC needs to be replaced. It would be better if you call a pro TV tech to carefully diagnose the TV and possibly replace those faulty electronics components. If you have a knowledge on basic electronic troubleshooting like soldering and ohm testing, I guess you can give it a go.

This is a convergence problem not a reset problem. go into the video menu and look for manual convergence. you could try auto convergence if your tv has it but i think you will have to go in and manually do it. just line the colours insync with the white bars and this will clean up the colours on your entire screen let me know if this doesnt work but im pretty confidant it will
