Question about LG (GH20NS) DVD±RW Dual Layer Burner
Fixed... sort of. Had to remove all IDE cd drives. Go to BIOS and make sure SATA is enabled. Restart. Shut down. Then plug DVD in only. Took it with XP drivers but now I can not use a CD rom I had. Thus I have 1 HD and 1 DVD. Not 1 DVD and 1 CD rom drive. Too fed up to investigate it any further. Took a lot of BIOS tweaking to get it to run. Not worth the effort in hindsight.

Did you get and cd along with the drive from where you bought it ??
try to see in that ..the driver must be surely present there....
btw what is the operating system you are running on your dell...most of the operating system automatically detects any hardware changes....
just also see in bios whether your drive is detected at start up.
