There is a wire that secures to the parking brake of your car, and this is the safety feature that will turn of the screen once your car is in drive. Simply change this wire over to the Accessory wire and you will be able to play DVDs while driving. If the radio has some sort of G Analyzer, I am not sure.

Watch Blu-ray movies in your car via Pioneer DVD player

Wanna watch BD movies in your car, and yet only have a Pioneer DVD player set up in your car? Actually, as long as you are willing to do it, you can totally make a breakthrough on your current situations. As you know, Pioneer AV Receivers enable users to enjoy cinema-like video playback from DVDs or an iPod, which means the right workaround for you to watch Blu-ray movies in your car is transferring your BD files to either a DVD, or iPod videos. Since burning to another DVD is a bit troublesome, and then converting BD movies to iPod videos is a good compromise. Well, the following contents will detail the whole process for you.
What you will need:
- A Pioneer DVD Player installed in your car
- An iPod
- Pavtube Blu-Ray Ripper
- A PC, of course, with a built-in BD drive or an external BD drive
What can Pavtube Blu-Ray Ripper do for you?
Pavtube Blu-Ray Ripper is a professional utility to rip both Blu-ray discs and general DVDs to your wanted HD or SD media formats, for playback on your iPod, iPhone, PSP, Apple TV, etc.
With full Blu-ray disc support, Pavtube Blu-Ray Ripper is able to remove copyright protections of your BD disc, no matter BD+, or AACS, even MKB Version > 10 is supported as well. With advanced audio technology, it is capable of reading all audio tracks of a BD disc, including Dolby TureHD Audio and DTS-HD Master Audio, which will never let you miss the mother tongue of the movie.
Firstly, insert your Blu-ray disc to the drive, and then launch Pavtube Blu-Ray Ripper.

Step 1: Load BD files
There are three ways to import Blu-ray movies to this program, through "DVD Rom", "DVD Folder" or "IFO/ISO".
Step 2: Select output format for iPod, and set destination folder
Click the pull down menu of "Format" to select the output format according to the specifications of your iPod. Meanwhile, click the folder icon at the end of "Output" to specify where to locate the converted files.
Step 3: Adjust audio and video parameters
Click "Settings" button, and then the following interface will pop up, on which you are allowed to customize audio and video parameters including codec, bit rate, frame rate, aspect ratio, sample rate and audio channels to optimize the output file quality.

Step 4: Start conversion
Once all settings are done, you can click "Convert" button to start conversion, and the finally output files can be found via clicking "Open" button.
What you should do next is using iTunes to sync the output files to your iPod. After that, just connect iPod to the Pioneer DVD player in your car via a cable, okay, you’re done, enjoy it now. It’s the perfect way to entertain kids and adults on long and short road trips.

Hi does anyone know whats the meaning of ERR 3 on a cd player.. i've got a toyota vitz 1999.. some people told me I have to change all the unit.. :( in any case does someone know the prices...

Is there any disc within the unit , the error code generally means that something is stuck or disc jammed which seems to be happening a lot on the toyota's and Lexus's and they charge a lot to replace it and as the warranty has expired. Try to get a better player as there are a lot more choices in the market today with lots more features, try Pioneer,JVC Sony etc. Some also have video display to watch movies on.

the dvd player doesn't actually know if you are driving or sitting or even in a car what it does know is that there is a wiring issue one that is not being activated by the parking brake and or foot brake or a toggle switch etc refer to owners manual or to an authorized installation facility

Wireing mess I need to know what the park wire is for

if its a dvd playing cd player it is so you cant watch dvd's while driving. Can be bypassed by just connecting it to the black ground wire. Or to the earth connetion on the back of the radio. Which is usually a screw that srews into a 5mm hole.
