Question about Kodak EasyShare M853 Digital Camera

Lens Error 10e, 1,1,0

My EasyShare M853 had been working wonderfully for almost a year. While on vacation, the battery ran out completely. The next time I tried to use it after being re-charged, the Lens Error 10e, 1, 1, 0 appeared and the camera shut off. The lens covers appear to have a "lazy eye". Any ideas??

soooo did was it solved when you released it? My message doesn't go away. I turn it on (by the book) the message appears, the camera shuts off. thus: zero pics. I'm preparing to ship it to Kodak but I sure wish I didn't have to. Thanks anyway! You tried!

Kodak M853. The lense will not retract, and the outer lense is crooked.

Unfortunately, many cameras that fall prey to lens error problems can only be corrected by professional repair. But, here are some last resort troubleshooting steps that you can try that may correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try.

My kodak camera lens say error

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended.
