Question about Canon PowerShot SD1000 Digital Camera
Im using Vista and my Canon Power Shot SD 790 will not recognize my camera so I cannot load my pictures onto my computer. I have tried re-installing the software several times but it does not seem to work.
Any suggestions? I was able to download pictures to the computer just 2 weeks ago. Since then I've connected a wireless Lynksis router and now neither my computer or laptop recognize the camera. I've reinstalled everything I can think of and I don't know what else to do. BTW, I have tried different cords, different ports all to no avail.
Try to change the USB connection type in the camera menu. There are several types like Mass storage, Pict. bridge, and the one you need is most likely PTP. Anyway, try all of those and maybe it will work. That is the most common problem when connecting cameras to Vista based systems.
