Crown Macro tech 3600 VZ Amplifier

It has gone faulty after being dropped. Both channels are getting much hotter than normal. I need to thoroughly check it out. I am a highly qualified engineer but need a circuit diagram/setting up info for this 'beast' of an amplifier.
I'm based in the U.K. thank you very much indeed for any help offered.

Your best way is google for the parts, but you need to add UP in front of the chip code (UPC2527)
and 2S in front of the transistors (2SD & 2SC), to find them.

I have acquired a CE2000 that has a dead channel. What is the most common items that go bad affecting one channel only? Also, Are schematics available?

If you turn up the faulty channel and you can hear nothing, then it could be the pre-amp that's gone, otherwise it could be the power amp. The most common cause is a faulty output transistor. It will be open circuit, not short as that would blow the fuse. Though some amps do have a fuse for each channel. The good news is that the other channel is the same as the bad one. So all readings taken with a multimeter should be the same. So if you find a bad/wrong reading IE one that doesn't match the good channel, you have found the source of the trouble.

There is a red light shinig inside my CROWN XLS

Lots of electronics have lights (LEDs) that turn on when they are plugged it. Most people just don't notice them. If it is working properly, then the light is normal.

Crown CE1000 amps, 1 dead channel - Can I diagnose via RJ-45?

Before asuming it is the power transistors check the power on relay first as mine had the same proble and it was because of the Relay that did not switch on the one channel or amp (remember this is a power amp and consist of two mono amps)

From your description, I would suspect some poor solder connections inside. If you know how to work on these, check for bad connections near the voltage regulators. That is the mode common area.

Unfortunately Crown amps are not the easiest to repair as they utilize multiple levels of amplification. Since you saw a flash, a resistor probable smoked, I would recommend that you bring this to an authorized service center.
