I have

Really? Wow!

1) Is the spring clip in the CMOS battery holder, weak, or has it been bent?

2) + of battery is facing UP, right? (Positive = + )
Don't know if it would even work in the other direction, but you learn something new everyday.

3) CMOS battery holder soldered tightly to the motherboard?

The motherboard mounts to a Support Plate.
The Support Plate can be part of the computer case, or a separate plate that is mounted to the computer case.

4) Is there dust in-between the Support Plate, and the motherboard?
You know, -> 'dust bunnies'.

I have an IBM wheelwriter 1500. I was typing and all of a sudden the power just died, it is plugged in, I changed batteries but nothing works.

Doesn't sound good. Try a known good outlet. You may need a power supply or processor board either part is about 125.00 plus installation.

My IBM server x226 not starts. SMPS working after that part with battery lights on then suddenly stops. pls tell me solution pankaj

Hi,
Welcome to fixya
This should be a power cage problem. If server didn't get enough power from the power supply it will stop suddenly when power on server . Your complaint seems to be the same . Replacing the power cage will fix the issue
Thanks

T23 Ibm laptop no video

Hello !

Test with an external monitor. If it works, it is the display's backlight or inverter board.

If you were experiencing discoloration in the screen (pinkish lower light hues) before it failed, that would indicate a CCFL backlight issue. If the screen suddenly went dim on you rather than a slow degradation the inverter would be indicated.

Hope this helps.
