No speaker sound

There sometimes are three connectors on a sound card that are similar. A speaker output, microphone input, and stereo headphone output.

Try all three, if you accidentally put it on the microphone input you won't get sound output of that one, so try another.

Also, check in the speaker control panel for the sound to be checked to mute or volume turned all the way down.

I have bad static from my Pioneer vsx 49 Elite

sorry no easy solution as it sounds like the output transistors blew out or the emmitter resistors. you will need a service manual and an multimeter to measure the resistors on or around the audio output transistors they are a low value resistor usually around 1 to 2 watts in size. Do not replace any bad , burnt or discolloered resistors around the audio output transistors as if tou do you might just cause more damage to the output transistorsor audio output stage including the audio driver stage of the amp!!!!!!

Sound

You will want to check a few settings in the control panel of your computer.

1. Click "Start" --> "Control Panel". If your using Windows XP, I recommend you click "Switch to Classic view". Double-click on "Sounds and Audio Devices". First, make sure the volume is not muted. Then click on the "Audio" tab. Make sure there are devices listed, and that they are not grayed out. You may try clicking "Use only default devices". Click apply and test the sound again. If this does not work, uncheck the box and click apply again.

2. The problem may be with your audio drivers. Do a google search for "realtek generic audio driver", or click this link Realtek '97 audio driver.

Download the driver and install it. This will install generic drivers for sound cards, which work with many different brands. Try the sound again and see if this works.

This sounds more like a sound card issue. Go to Control Panel, System, Device Manager and check your sound card.

The speakers get plugged into the audio output jack on the back of your computer.

Connecting a logicK TV LCX2 to a Yamaha Surround sound system YSP 1

Not entirely sure what the problem is. You should have Two RCA outputs (left and right) from the TV. These plug into the surround decoder, it decodes the dolby and provides 4 or more outputs for speakers. If I have misunderstood you then please comment before rating badly

Audio output not working

I had what may have been a similar problem and even talked to Westinghouse to see what I was doing wrong. Woman suggested there was a problem with the audio output port and suggested I exchange tv for another one. When the new one had the same problem, I discovered that to get audio out requires the volume to be turned way up on the tv (set speaker preference to external only if you don't want sound from tv speakers as well). If you have a digital optical connection on both the tv and the home theater, the sound output is independent from the tv setting and is easier to work with.

No speakers?

if you are trying to get rid of all the speakers & just hooking up the sound to the tv speakers, what you need to look for on the back of the dvd system is you need to find an audio out. I know the is one or two audio input, but I do not think there are any audio outputs. I don'e think you can get sound out of this system without your speakers hooked up. sorry.
