Mitsubishi ws 65513

Eljavier0170@hotmail.com So I found out today that I too have the fast flashing led problem. is all I need to do is replace the 1000uf 16v caps in the on the DM power board? Will 25V size fit. thanks in advance.

    LED Indications Conditions Probable Cause
    ---------- --------------------------- -------------------------------------------
Off After AC is applied No Standby Power or TV μPC not running

Fast Blink for 70 sec. After AC is applied Normal - DM μPC is booting up.

Fast Blink for 70 sec. Each time TV is switched On Power Save Mode is activated

Fast Blink (Doesn't stop) After AC is applied TV μPC is running, but DM failed to boot up

Slow Blink Set is Off Normal - Timer is set for Auto Trun On

so the above leads me to think that the problem is in the DM. And from what I have been reading/finding out that the caps have a high failure rate? Is that what you have seen/heard? Thus the need for the replacement of the caps... I also understand that higher Volts is ok if the size of the cap will fit.. do you have information that refutes that?

    Thanks in advance.

You do not replace anything that youhave not tested first, and if you want to do it yourself you must have practice with soldering and using a multimeter.

Green led flashing fast is only telling you that you are in protect mode, and that there is a problem inside your tv. Most people on the internet do not have an idea of what they are talking about.

Regarding the 1000uf 16v, there are 7 of them (the blue caps), and they blow often because of problems with power board.
Test them, and replace them ONLY if you do not read continuity, or if they are evidently blown.

Do not even think to replace the 1000uf 16v with 25V unless you read this on a Mitsubishi service bulletin, or service manual, or you may end up damaging your TV.

If the Caps are ok, follow troubleshooting diagrams on service manual to test the rest of the TV.

Please check my reply, Its ok if you use 1000UF 25V instead of 1000UF 16V capacitors.

Just be careful while repairing tv and AC cord must be unplugged, take care of Main Capacitors in power supply as they store high voltage charge for several hours.

Mitsubishi WS-65513 Flashing green light

Good Day, charliek1;
This a very common problem with model. Don't listen to other comments unless the use the correct replacement parts.

SYMPTOM: Power LED does not stop blinking after plug in.

CURE: replace C9B01, C9B02,C9B10, and C9B11 (1000 uFD 16V) on the DM PCB. Replace them with part # 181P734030 (680uFd 16V).

The DM Board (PCB) is located on the very left side of the TV looking from back. Caution on removing Board and note what cables you disconnect to access the Metal Shielded Board.
Good Luck, big IRISH.

Have you looked at the DM board fix yet that's available here. http://www.fixya.com/howto/h154057-mitsubishi_dm_board_repair Check it out. If the inside of your TV set does not look like this, you will need to get the service manual to disassemble the set and get to the DM board, but use the rest of the guide to repair the board. If you are successful, you will save almost a 1000 bucks! Good Luck
