a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: hard disk icon disappeared from desktop

To add the hard disk icon back onto your desktop, first click the "Finder" button in the dock. It is the dark and light smily face icon at the end of the dock.

Next, click the "Finder" menu item at the top of the screen and then "Preferences". In the "Finder Preferences" window that opens, click the "General" button. From there you can select what system items appear on your desktop. You can click "Hard disks" to re-add the hard disk icon.

Laptop C partition low disk space

Make sure your hard disk has enough space. Most often when the error massage comes it will tell you how much free space is required to install the game look keenly and know how much space is required then either move all media files mainly video files especially downloaded in the download folder to an alternative partition and only leave windows and installed program on Local Disk C. Other wise if your hard disk capacity is very small then am afraid that you will have to get a bigger hard disk.

Recorded programs wont play

A model number would help.

I suspect that the files are corrupted, possibly by a faulty disk or interference. If there is a faulty section on the disk, it would be advisable to keep the bad recordings in order to prevent that part of the disk being used again by any future recordings.

Printer will not install

Hello. Thanks for choosing Fixya! Click on your start button and then on printers and faxes. Look and see what other printer drivers you already have installed. Delete any that you no longer need and THEN install your new disc. Regards, Joe

I cant record

You'll see this message if you try to create a song but there's not enough disk space on the partition to create a song. Free up some disk space and try again. The manual is at http://www.tascam.com/products/dp-01;9,16,33,19.html under resources.

Can't Record, wont read blank DVD

Have the same problem with this piece of junk.
Tried all the solutions. Clean lens etc. Nothing helped.
Tried replacing the drive with another that I had. No go, apparently has some proprietary firmware.
I was about to throw it in the trash when I suddenly realized that it had a TV tuner. Hooked it up to my computer through a Pinnacle Dazzle interface and VOILA I had a hard drive recorder. I either just watch it on my monitor or burn a DVD if it is something I want to keep. Hey that is better than pitching something you paid $300 bucks for in the trash. You can pick up a dazzle or similar on EBAY for a lot less than a new Hard disc recorder will cost you.

Please help

Good Day!

if your issue is how to create space to accomodate your printer installation space requrements, then try to free space.

Here are the steps

1. on your desktop point to my computer. double click then you can see something like C:
right click on it. you should see Disk clean up
2. click on disk clean up.
3. the Default check should be enough. If not, try to decide what is not needed then check it.
4. Click on ok then click on perform on actions.

if this does not give you ample space, you should manually delete files in your c:

Hope this helps

Error Message

If you want to check hard drive space, open my computer and select the details view. OR right click on the drive icon and pick 'properties'

Freeing up space can be tricky. Use the disk cleanup utility first.
Start/Run/Accessories/System Tools/Disk Cleanup. The only caution is "don't compress files!!!"

Then it's a matter of deleting old documents [I back mine up to CD before deleting.] pictures, videos, etc. You can also add space by adding a hard drive and moving big files, like videos, to it.

Many people clear photos and videos. However, they fail to clear audio recordings. Look for a long accidental recording of an audio. A long audio file also can take up all your disk space. So one day it has capacity to take 200 photos. The next day "no disk space". Hope it helps.

What kind of computer operting system are you using? [win_XP, ME (melliam edition),win_98,win_95(still around!) What type of software are you using?[win_media player, RealPlayer,Quick time, about 15 different types of programs] All work simulor and each tell the 'music, talk, data, etc'to change, convert, format a different way. not enought memory=won't work, not enought disk space=won't work.See if you can take the time to read the "Help" section of program. That helps me a lot with my problems.

Deleting files

If you've got it connected to your computer, you can do the same things that you would with any connected hard drive. In this case you should be able to delete files and then empty the recycle bin.

After that, go to My Computer and right click the icon for your Jukebox and select Properties. There you should be able to use Disk Cleanup to purge old system files, etc.
