Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC22. If the cleaner isn't picking up as well as usual, and the brush control button keeps popping out, it sounds as turbine head may be blocked. For guidance on checking for and removing any blockages, please see the video linked below:

http://www.dyson.co.uk/support/help.asp?article=1944&product=DC22-ANIMAL

Clearing the turbine head of any obstructions should resolve the issue. However, if you've tried this and are still experiencing difficulties, it's probably best if you get in touch with us directly. One of our experts will be happy to provide the assistance you need. If a replacement turbine head is necessary, it should be covered by your 5-year warranty as long as the cleaner has been used in accordance with the terms and conditions listed in the user guide. You can call us free on 08002980298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US).

Kind regards,

Jack

I have used my dyson dc39 perhaps a dozen times tops and the brush bar won't stay spinning. I've stood it upright and turned it off, clicked the brush power button. Spins then stop-makes pop sound.

If it's like my DC-07, the brush shouldn't spin if it's upright, and also won't spin if you don't have the clutch for the brush fully engaged. Make sure that the back of the unit is tilted off of the fully upright position, and check that the brush clutch is all the way engaged - there may seem to be a middle setting, but that isn't really where you want to be. Hoping that helps.

I have a DC 25 orange ball upright Dyson. The catch on the blue filter in the roller ball does not hold and pops up after a few seconds use. The service engineer says that it is a design fault. Is

Not true, Dyson DC25 All floors has an orange ball. The sales man doesn't know what he's talking about. What it sounds like you need is a new filter. DC24 filter is different. Keep in mind that the DC25 is one of the most problematic machines in the Dyson line up and most of them don't last more than a couple of years. Before you throw money at it, take it to your local vac repair shop to get a proper diagnosis from a professional.

Brush keeps shutting off . DC39 Animal Canister.

The belt that turns the rotating brush is loose. Make sure it is on correctly or replace with a (new) tighter belt. This will require you to unscrew a few screws on the bottom & remove the cover. Then remove the roller.

Dyson DC-07 Hose Wand Spring Came Out. How to put back in?

You'll see that there is a round piece with a cross shape on the inside of the button wand release button - place the end of the spring over the cross - you'll see the same cross on the collar of the machine...it'll take some doing, but line the other end of the spring up with the cross and pop the button back into place - be sure to click it onto those two gray circular/oval shaped divets at the bottom where the release button connects to so that the button stays in place.

Dyson DC 24 pick up head wont spin

- Look for the reset button on the side of the brushbar housing - there should be a red sticker and a red button. Push it once. It's
not gonna stay depressed, it's gonna pop right out - that's normal.
- Step on the red pedal on the back
- Turn the machine on with the red power button
- Press the gray button next to the red power button - this is the ON/OFF switch for the brushbar - if it doesn't spin, press and hold the gray button down for 10 seconds
- If it still isn't spinning, remove the brushbar and make sure nothing is blocking it and withholding it from spinning
- For further troubleshooting assistance call the Dyson helpline, they know what they're doing

Shampooer

If it is falling off (and lodging itself into the hose) I would suggest gluing it in place on the tank...a super glue should keep it in place and there is no reason to remove it. If its glued to the tank there is less chance of it being damaged.
