Hello:

>>You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Engine at this Site Addy, http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Select the Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM and Enter the Model (5 or 6 Digits) and Type Numbers (first 4 digits Only). Example: XXXXXX-XXXX. Then Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. Select Sectional Index. Now you can Select the Section of the Engine you Wish to View. Select the Carburetor File. This will Show a Breakdown of the Carburetor for you to Check and See if you Assembled the Carburetor Correctly.

How to adjust the valves on a 20 horse power OHV bgiggs and statton engine on a sears craftsman rideing mower model number 917.276824

Here is one solution for doing it and I will repeat with the Briggs suggested maintenance procedure.

Scroll down to ADJUSTING OVERHEAD VALVES.
http://www.briggsandstratton.com/engines/support/frequently-asked-questions/Servicing%20the%20valves/

Remember, proper setting of the overhead valves is important to insure that the ACR (automatic compression release) system operates correctly enabling a much easier start. Good luck.

WONT START WITH KEY BUT WILL WITH JUMP

Check the inline fuse first. If good, disconnect the small wire plugged into the bottom of the solenoid and hook a test light to it. Lock the clutch/brake pedal down and turn the key to start. If it lights up, replace the solenoid.

Do not know what blades to get. Wrong ones are on it.

The best thing to do is take the blades off and get the # off them and let me know. They may be aftermarket #'s that I could look up and tell you what blades you need. You may have to wire brush them to find the #. Dwain
