I will give this a try but I don't see it working. The trouble seams to be electrical as it will come and go. I'm recovering from back surgery and cant be rolling around in the dirt testing all the wires so I thought this might be the why to go to look for help do you know of any safety switches that would cause this and where are they Thanks Tim

It a YTH2248 Then engein stalls when the cluch is let out it. I would think that it is electrical and I'm almost sure it's a switch I just don't know where it is. I'm recovering from back surgury and it is hard to do the trouble shooting.

If it stalls when you let the clutch it can be a problem with carburetor settings.

If idle is too low the engine will shut down when you leave the clutch pedal.

Set carburetor and see how it goes.

Check also the air intake and the air filter, a clogged air intake or a dirty air filter can cause same problem.

This is not in my expertise but as a qualified macanics i will say it is the carburetor idle or even check for any blockages in the air filter

Husqvarna yth 170 problems when engage blades clutch nothng happens

On the 170 there is an electrical clutch that enables the blades to engage. This of course is an important safety feature.

If the operator is not sitting in the seat the switch located beneath the seat will not actuate. It is possible that the weight of the operator is insufficient to activate the switch. Other possibilities are the connection to the switch has become disengaged, or the switch has failed.

There are other possibilities of why the blades do not engage but I would evaluate the seat switch first and the relay (operator presence relay) that the seat switch activates second..

Why is it when electric clutch is engaged, engine cuts out?

Most likely the seat switch is either bad and unplugged.

It starts and run great but when i let the clutch out it stalls

Assuming the clutch/brake pedal is down when your starting it and you are sitting in the seat when the pedal is let out . I'd almost suspect the seat switch to be your problem or one of the other safety switches, but I'm thinking seat switch if you have access to an ohm meter you should look at that checking resistance values through the switch both (depending on switch style in the seat or mounted in the tractor body under the seat). Both positions if it's in the seat you may need to sit something heavy enough to operate the switch. If values don't change with the meter that should be your problem.

Husqvarna yth2148 mower dies when clutch is released or deck is engaged. has new seat switch, clutch switch and pto switch whats my solution

Has the belt been replaced recently? A two small belt with kill the motor due to too much tension on the driveshaft. Also make sure blades spin relatively well. I'd be looking for excess tension.

Engine starts when clutch is depressed but stalls when the clutch(brake) is released>

Start with a simple thing first, make sure the connection block to the seat micro switch is pushed completley on, if it moves back even a few millimeters you will get this problem, if this does not work check/replace the seat switch, if no better it could be one of the relays situated under the bonnet by the side of the fuel tank, they look like 2" square black boxes, they will just pull of the connector block with 5 or six pins.

Husqvarna YTH 2042 lawn tractor It starts OK, but as soon as I take my foot off the clutch, it lugs and quits. Same thing happens if I start to engage the clutch lever, even with my foot still on the...

If it really 'lugs', meaning the engine gradually chugs slower and slower as if it's struggling, then it could be a belt problem, but I'm going to guess it just quits, which suggests a problem with the seat safety switch. Look under the seat, take out the safety switch, and tape it in the pushed-in position. See if the tractor runs now. If so, the switch is the culprit - either it failed, or the mounting is wonky so it doesn't activate when you're in the seat.

My husqvarna lth 1342 tractor stalls when the clutch is released even when its throttled up

Hello james_3228:

>>If this Unit is Stalling like Someone has Turned Off the Ign Switch, then the Seat Safety Switch is Bad or has a Bad Connection.
>>The Following is the Instruction File for Checking the Seat Safety Switch.
>>***PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHECKING THE SAFETY SWITCHES IS JUST THAT!!! FOR CHECKING ONLY.***
>>I NEVER Suggest a Mower be Operated with a Safety Device or Switch Disconnected or Bypassed. **Make Sure the Switch has a Good Connection. Now; On Some Model Mowers you can Simply Unplug the Safety Switch from the Harness. On Other Models you have to Place a Jumper Wire Between the Harness Terminals (on the 4 Post Switch Jumper from Same Color Wire to Same Color Wire). The Seat Safety is Showing No One is Seating in the Seat when the Clutch or Blades are Engaged.**
>>If the Unit is Jerking and then Stalling, then Check the Ground Drive Belt and Pulleys.
>>The Belt May be Caught between a Pulley and the Frame or Belt Guard or a Pulley May be Frozen and Causing the Engine to Stall.
You can View the Husqvarna Model List at this Site Addy, http://www.partstree.com/parts/ and Click on the Husqvarna Logo. Now Enter the Model Numbers in the Search Box on the Left and Click Go. Now Select the Model of the Equipment you Wish to View.
>>For Better Assistance, Send me the Model Numbers Off the Mower, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. The Model Numbers are Usually Located Under the Seat on a Sticker or Tag on the Body.
Please, Do Not Hesitate, If I Missed Something or you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I am Here if You Require More Assistance.
Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Be Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck

Respectfully
