I assume this appears on your computer shortly after you power it on, but before it would normally load the desktop. If so, the easy solution is to reinstall the computer. The specific error you're getting is telling you that while windows was loading up, it couldn't read your drive. It's either missing files, or it has become corrupted.
However, if you reinstall it, you'll first need to backup all your data. There is another method you can try also. Many times, dell will give you a real windows cd with your computer, and label it a restore disk. If so, you can put in the CD, and boot from it. It will open a windows installation screen, and you can choose to do a repair install. Be cautioned though; by pressing the wrong buttons in that installation screen can make you lose all your files! So be careful.

Unit starts/stops-starts/stops after replacing 3v battery?

When you say starts/stops (etc) are you saying it just keeps trying to reboot? Or are you getting a message such as boot disk not found press any key to restart? Replacing the 3V battery will cause the CMOS to reset to factory defaults. You may need to go into the CMOS and make setting changes to point to the proper disk drive for booting. You may even have to change the type of disc drive since there is now the old MBR as well as the newer GPT format. Also, there is the possibility that if you are upgrading you may need to use the legacy CMOS instead of the UEFI that many newer mainboards come defaulted to. Any error in the CMOS settings can cause a boot failure.

Problem with AMD 2.1GHz Phenom X3 Tri-Core 8450 AM2+ 3.5MB HD8450WCJ3BGH

Your motherboard might finally need replacement. If the temperature sensors aren't working and the motherboard isn't controlling the CPU fan, that shows you might have some problems with it. Did you try going into BIOS Setup and checking your settings? Check the cooling settings. Many motherboards have aggressive CPU temp monitoring as well, so if the CPU gets hot, the PC will shut down.

Flashing start

This could be from the setup procedure in the Bios.
When you start the computer, hit DEL and see if you can open the Setup section. Look around for BOOT START whereby a command may be RUN TEST when Starting, or something like that reference. Just select Turn OFF or Stop, whatever command is showing. Go to F10 or save, and restart the computer. If that did not stop the problem, you may have to clear the BIOs completely and reset the data from scratch. Some computer BIOs allow for a reset to DEFAULT.

I have changed my boot order in bios to CD drive first but windows keeps loading first, how can I stop this and boot straight from the CD drive?

This only works if you have a bootable disc inserted. It will auto roll to next item in boot sequence. Test disc elsewhere if this the case.

Amd phenom faulty

Replace cpu fan , failed cpu fan might have caused CPU stoped working. If you are sure about the CPU fails then replace the CPU. If the problem seems continues after that too, then PC might have failed to boot due to other reasons. What shows on the screen once you power on the computer? There could be , motherboard , or harddisk faults too. Try unplugging other parts and see if the computer boots from CD or USD flash or floppy drive!! Once you know that motherboard works then replace the CPU. There could be BIOS setup problem. Did you check the BIOS for harddisk is set properly.

Computer won't boot-up

hi, is the ide-ata enabled in the bios? do you have sata? and is it enabled?also did you put thermal compound on the cpu' s heatsink when you put it back on the cpu? the 2 second on thing sounds like over-heating,do check the bios first. alot of motherboards have a thermal shutdown, so if the fan or compound failed, it would quikly shut off. as for the channels not working-you can try your primary drive, and see if it boots. but first see if it is on in the bios. check and replace the battery on the motherboard. post again if you need help good luck! hope this is helpful.

You need to get someone to make a boot disk for you.
It can usually be done from a friends pc.
If not a computer store can make one cheaply for you.
Go into the bios on startup and select the disk drive or floppy drive to boot up first.
If you can get into the bios anyway, I would reset to default values(usually F5), save it then reboot.
Hope this helps
