Hello,
Here you can find the instructions on how to load the film:
http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/classics/maxxum7k/manual/index2.htm

And here you have the whole manual if you need it:
http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/classics/maxxum7k/manual/index.htm
In the manual look for Table of contents, there you have links to other pages of the manual.

Bye!

Can hanimex tz 7000 flash gun be used on Nikon D90

The Hanimex tz 7000 was made for the Minolta. So the shoe won't fit. But there is an extra danger. The old camera's switched with a real mechanical switch, and did not bother for eventually high voltages coming to the switch. Modern camera's like the D90, but almost all digital camera's use electronic switches, who can be damaged when a high voltage from the flash comes in.

I would not use it on one of my digital camera's.
Perhaps you can find a cheap remote switch for the Hanimex and trigger the flash remotely. otherwise, save some money and buy a modern flashlight.

I own a Minolta 7000 series that was given to me. I do not have the manual for it. On the front of the camera it also says AF. My question is, how do I rewind the film and take it out of my camera. ...

If it's a Minolta Maxxum 7000, it should automatically rewind the film when finished with the roll. To manually rewind the film, open the card door on the right side of the camera and press the rewind button. Open the back cover by pressing the button in the center of the back-cover release and sliding the release downward.

You can download the manual from

Minolta x370 camera, the shutter appears to be stuck ? the film advance lever will not move ?

if you are up to repairing the camera yourself, you may want to remove the film first but cutting it from the lock then rewinding it to the tube (make sure you are in a dark room)...

then move to the small article below...

from PointBreak:

The BIG Minolta Shutter Problem Fix Secret EXPOSED!

The Minolta X-Series have been infamous for having their shutters "stuck" and without the film advancing. The LEDS will light up correctly but the film just wouldn't plain advance when you hit the shutter release button. Frustrating to say the least..but alas..alll is not lost. This has been a very common problem and I'll tell you why.

The X-Series, and other possible makers, contains a/an electrolytical capacitor with 1000 hrs of working voltage. When the capacitor reaches its limit it may fail (bulge/corrode). Whether this was an intentional design concept by Minolta is unknown..yeah right! Basically these capacitors hold a small magnetic charge and that when you hit the shutter release it reverses polarity and allows the film to expose, advance, blah, blah, blah..

OK! What I'm going to explain here will save you anywhere from $10 - $200 (meaning you could buy this info. on Ebay or take your X370 to get fixed at a shop). Vendors on Ebay are hocking this info. from $5 and on up..some are actually bidding on this stuff..DON'T DO IT! They will tell you that it's impossible to locate their "product" which consists of new capacitors and the service/repair manual. Well it took some time and research but I have located everything you need so..

Here it is and ENJOY!

1. Download the X370 manuals from http://www.geocities.com/eskoufos/fmm.html. Cost: FREE!

2. Go to http://www.digikey.com/digihome.html. The part number for the capacitor for the Minolta X370 is: P954-ND (Panasonic P/N is ECE-A0GKS221). The actual spec. on the capacitor is: 4v 220uF @ 85 deg. C(entigrade) (6.3X5X2.5 mm).Cost: $7.00 (includes S/H, min. order was 10 pieces @ $2.00 and they charge $5 for S/H)

3. Unscrew the bottom of the camera (4 little screws) and locate the bad capacitor. It's probablu bulging or leaking.

4. If you don't have one, you need a soldering pen and some standard electrical solder. (Go to Radio Shack or any Hardware store)

5. Remove the old capacitor and then solder on a new capacitor. That's it!
if you have other question just lemme know.

Minolta 7000 SLR

The Konica-Minolta 5d, and 7d, both discontinued but available used on ebay and other places will work with your AF lenses, as well as all the sony alpha camera bodies. KM sold their camera business to sony, and most of the whole maxuum/alpha/dynax group of engineers went with the sale to Sony. I had a 7000, and an 8000i, and all my lenses are quite happy on the 7D I picked up a few months ago on ebay.

I have an old polaroid SX70 1000... have sx70 film loaded in there, brand new.. but nothing happens when I click the shutter button! Any ideas?

When you say "brand new" film, the battteries could easily be dead (or too low) if this is old, unused film. The camera's batteries are in the film pack....
I don't think true SX-70 film has been made for years. There is one Austrian company making film for it or people adapt newer film packs to it (read-up on internet).
First thing is to see if the contacts are clean and then to check the battery voltage in the film pack.
You could have battery contacts (in the camera) that need cleaning. Clean contacts with a pencil eraser, scotchbrite or very fine sandpaper.
Try looking online for voltage information. It might be helpful if you can check that.

Sony A100 compatibility

It would help if you actually gave details of the lens!

All the old Minolta AF and MF lenses will fit the Sony A100, but only the AF are auto-focus compatible.

Since the Maxxum 7000 was an AF camera, I would image that that is an AF lens pictured on the front.

Check out this site for more details:

Flash compatibility

Sorta, it will flash, but only in manual mode, all the benefits of having a gee whizbang electronic flash are lost jumping from the film to digital cameras, the film cameras metered the flash off the film plain, and quenched it when enough light had hit the film, they couldn't apparently figure out how to do the same thing for the digital sensor, so the flashes behave differently,  you need a D flash like the 3600 or 5600 to get automatic flash with the KM 5d, 7d, or sony A100 cameras... sorry... if it's any consolation, I'm in the same boat. :(
