Hello,
Here you can find the instructions on how to load the film:
http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/classics/maxxum7k/manual/index2.htm

And here you have the whole manual if you need it:
http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/classics/maxxum7k/manual/index.htm
In the manual look for Table of contents, there you have links to other pages of the manual.

Bye!

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

What year was the Minolta Maxxum 7000, serial number 16043985? Thanks, Karla

I do not know for certain. You might find that answer on the Yahoo Minolta groups.
The Maxxum 7000 was introduced to the US market in 1985. Sold as the Alpha 7000 in Japan and Dynax elsewhere, it was replaced by the 7000i in a couple years. Then the 700, the 700xi, the 700si, the 70 and the 7 was the last film based 7 series. There
They also made 8000i, 800si, etc. The 9 series was the Minolta Professional cameras and they had the toughest bodies, weatherproofing, higher shutter speeds, and more.
Later models introduced better autofocus, better exposure options, wireless flash, faster film advance, etc.

Loaded film camera will not work asks for program how do i do this How do I set the program on my Minolta Maxxum 7000

it might be the internal battery. remove the battery holder and remove the screws on the metal plate. gently lift the plate and replace the battery. remember the different length of the screws.

Is the Minolta Maxxum 7000 capable of using infrared film?

goneoutthewi,

once the shutter is closed or the shutter open and the mirror is up no light strikes the film except the image. don't forget to use the red markings on the lens as infra-red focuses on a different plane than visible light.

Rewinding on a minolta 7000

i used to do this on an old Kyocera, and somehow looking at the 7000 diagram, they have the same, almost the same design.
take the camera to somewhere dark and clean (like dust free and all) perhaps your darkroom if you have one, bring a pair os scissor and a film container (for worst cases that the film is torn). clean your hands as well.

Check the bottom of the camera for a small button that disengages the motor gear (film release button). now open the film door then use a fingers to carefully pull the film evenly, you may feel like the film is being stuck, and if in case it did not move, check if you have a film release button on the bottom of the camera (usually place right below the film). as you do this feel the track of the film and check for damages that will indicate that the film has been torn because it is not loaded correctly or the motorhead malfunctioned.

now just wind the film back to the canister unless the track is torn off (note to leave the film leader out), once it is out, get the film developed right away.
now if the film track is torn cut it off then place it in the container, then have this handed to the developer and tell them that this is an open film, since it can be developed, partially though, it depends on the cut.

OR better off, you can bring your camera to the developer then tell then the film is broken inside and they will do all these for you.

good luck.

Minolta maxxum 7000 troubleshoot camera wont take pictures

There are several possible reasons, it could be the body or the lens. Check the shutter blades without film. Are they smooth and in place, (flat)? It could also be related to the film, a mis-load of the roll. The lens could have some failure, possibly try another.

The Konica-Minolta 5d, and 7d, both discontinued but available used on ebay and other places will work with your AF lenses, as well as all the sony alpha camera bodies. KM sold their camera business to sony, and most of the whole maxuum/alpha/dynax group of engineers went with the sale to Sony. I had a 7000, and an 8000i, and all my lenses are quite happy on the 7D I picked up a few months ago on ebay.
