I have a Kenwood Basic M1 Preamp that I found at a garage sale some time ago. For the first ten minutes or so after I turn it on the audio cuts out at random intervals. When It is warm the problem goes...

Clarification: The M1 is the amplifier, and the C1 is the preamp, just so we're both straight on that. Regardless, on older equipment like this, thorough cleaning of all pots and switches with a high-quality cleaner such as Caig DeOxit is the first step to solve any intermittent probem.
