I need a new clip because the CD does not play evenif the cover is down. The only reason for the toothpick was to hold the cover down.

I would like a user's manual for a Phillips stereo model FW45c3 701

Philips support site lists several FW45C37 mini hi-fi system models; none of these have the 01 suffix on the support page. One of the manuals is available here: http://download.p4c.philips.com/files/f/fw45c37/fw45c37_dfu_aen.pdf . To look at the other manuals start here, http://www.usa.philips.com/c-m/consumer-support , and use the search feature.

I hope this helps.

I have a Kenwood Basic M1 Preamp that I found at a garage sale some time ago. For the first ten minutes or so after I turn it on the audio cuts out at random intervals. When It is warm the problem goes...

Clarification: The M1 is the amplifier, and the C1 is the preamp, just so we're both straight on that. Regardless, on older equipment like this, thorough cleaning of all pots and switches with a high-quality cleaner such as Caig DeOxit is the first step to solve any intermittent probem.
