Hitachi Ultravision Digital DTV Monitor--- Sound Static Problem

I don't know how to fix your issue but I have the same tv with a cracked glass front. I would be interested in buying your tv for parts to replace my glass front if you are unable to fix yours. Please let me know. Thanks, Dan

When was the projection lamp last replaced in this tv?The projection lamp in the tv now is about 1 1/2 or 2 years old and the tv been on and watches like 4 or 5 hours a day?The projection lamp life is over.Require a new projection lamp.

Ur tv projection bulb,been a long time had not been replaced?If the the bulb been,replaced the ballast might be dead.

Its probably the lamp that needs replaced.

Sounds like the DLP lamp failed. You can decipher the Hitachi flashing red light. That should help to be sure.
The DLP lamp replacement is fairly straightforward and can be done with minimal tools

What ever is popping is locking up the CPU circuit. Call a Factory Authorized Service Center Have figure out what is popping, get an estimate first. Good Luck, big IRISH.

cory, your losing the high voltage, could be bad solder joints in the horizontal circuit, ie; driver transformer, horizontal output transistor, or the transistor and associated capacitors have finally failed. If you keep trying and it will eventually start then it`s definitely bad solder and that`s a cheap fix from any local tech.

Looks like

1. A Cold solder in the Video Output stage power supply.

2. A bad Electrolytic Capacitor in the above Video Output stage.

I generally do not waste time in attempting to locate faulty capacitors. There will be only 6-8 pf them in the above stage / section,m and the klot of them would collectivelyt not cost more than 3-4 $ equivalent, in india. Just blindly replace the lot, and the set is ready in 30 mins.

Dunno how much they will cost in your country. Try to look for a 100mfd, 160V Capacitor. Close your eyes and replace. generally does the trick.
