Recently the volume button on my phone as been continually chirping as if someone is holding down the UP button. Twice wiggling it has stopped it, but it starts again when the phone is closed. Recently I had to remove the battery to get it to stop, but it started again when the battery was reinserted. Any ideas? Thanks - SC

This is usually caused by one button being stuck down, and the volume control buttons on the left of the main display, and the voice button on the right of the main display are the usual culprits. Try squeezing them and making sure they move normally. Then power down the phone, pop out the battery, and give it another shot.
Sounds like the side volume button is sticking.
remove the battery and get some cotton wool, dampen it with methelated spirits.( JUST DAMPEN IT ) Do not soak it!!
Then wipe down the button be sure to get in the edges .
let air dry for about 20 mins then replace battery and try it out
First of all switch off u r phone immediately.Put out the battery.Go to any Phone service center and said them u r whole story. They better help.If u continue using phone it will become fully damaged.Even it will not going to repair after that.
