Question about Dell Latitude D600 Notebook
So my dad bought this laptop like 2 years ago, he´d use it every now and then but he would never unplug it so basically the DELL was working 24/7, then one day it wouldn´t charge anymore, guess the battery died or something, but it would work fine when plugged in.
Anyway, he gave it to me because he didn´t really needed it, so I would use for the normal stuff, I too used it without unpluggin it.
Recently (3 days ago) the laptop suddenly "Shut down" or at least I thought but it didn´t really shut down, the screen just got extremely black, though you could see what´s in the screen but its not easy at all, in fact is almost impossible to see anything.
When I push the little button that is between the screen and the keyboard the DELL returns to its old colored-self, but after some seconds it returns to the blackness; but when I repeated the proccess the colors went from the normal colors to more redish colors.
I also tried connecting a monitor but it won´t work, it only works when the screen in the laptop works.
What can it be? Some cables inside the laptop burned? Do I need a new laptop?
Thanks in advance.
Looks like your screen going to 'kaput' already.....anyway try to reseat the memory modules 1st. If u had the luck..it may works that way.....good luck
