SOURCE: Power light blinking 2 times

2 blinks means the unit is having problem with 12 volt supply.
while power on you can check 12DC on power supply before shutdown.if the voltage is constant before shut down I would recommend to replace D board.

SOURCE: red light blinks 9 times on Panasonic TH-42PZ77U

hello, panasonic plasmas have a safety shut down circut to protect the main panel when a short is present or internal circut panel is non functional some info i found in the service manual for 10th generation plasma
if your tv is still under warantee take advantage of the pany free service other wise it is a matter of exchanging the defective board then you will need electronic skills for this repair if you plan to do it yourself. it would be wise to have a skilled tech check it out and give you a estimate there are some techs that will come out and check it for free and give you a repair price.

here are some repair manual tips for blinking panasonic .. i didnt find 9 blinks on this manual i may be using a different manual but these are panasonic plasma blinking fault tips for 10th gen
becuase all models have different blinking codes you may need the model specific service manual

for 10th gen model some models 2008,2007,

8 Blinks SOS:
Pin 91 of the MPU IC9003 monitors the status of the SS board. During normal operation, pin 8 of connector SS23 outputs a low to pin 91. If the SS board becomes defective, a high is provided to pin 91. As a result, the unit shuts down and the power LED blinks 8 times.

9 blinks panel config sos

10 Blinks SOS:
The SUB5V and DT9V sources created on the A board are monitored by IC1100. If they are not present at pin 30 and 34, the MPU shuts down the unit. The power LED blinks 10 times.

10 Blinks SOS:
The F_STB_15V of the P board, as well as the derived SUB5V and DT9V sources are monitored on the A board for excessive current. If a short circuit is developed in one of the supplied lines, pin 114 of IC1100 receives a high. The SUB5V and DT9V lines are also monitored for excessive voltage. When an over-voltage condition is detected, a high is also output to pin 114 of IC1100. The DT9V is provided to a DC/DC converter to create the BT30V for the tuner. If the BT30V becomes excessive, a high is output to pin 114 of IC1100. A high at pin 114 of IC1100 causes the unit to shutdown and the power LED to blink 10 times.

hope this helps..

SOURCE: TV power light blinks 7 times but it won't turn on

Most people call this "The blinking light of death".(part went bad)
Your TV when into protection mode to prevent further damage.
The repair shop may cost over $100 for someone just to look at it.
Or if you know someone with electronic repair knowledge, they have a service manual at nodevice.com
Most replacement parts you can get a shopjimmy.com ( go there to just to get an idea of what the parts costs).
Good Luck

Panasonic Plasma TV will not power up and blinks once.

It sounds like the low-voltage control relay has gone bad. This is what brings the tv out of standby and into full-on. Does it havr the same responce with button and remote? the other possability is the high voltage plasma exiter circuit is experiencing thermal-overload. If it's the first, an easy fix. If second, then the tv is a gonner. Not worth the money to repair. Plasmas unfortunately by design only lats 6-10yrs.

Flashing error codes could be the Direct tv box itself.Because tvs have problems within itself don't flashes error codes on the tv screen, the problems, just show up.Tries tv and Direct tv satellite box unplug, replug it back like about an hour later.By letting the tv resetting itself back to the factory setting and the Direct tv box updates it softwares data's.The problems should be solved,if have the same problems, first call Direct tv for a replacement box,see how it work out.Than turn ur attention to the tv.
