I can't add a user to my console

Hi,
I only got my DS yesterday and set myself up as the 'user'. Is it possible to add a second user (so that my husband won't spoil my brain training record!) or is it only possible to have one?
Thanks

Ok thanks. I suspected as much, but thought I'd best check.

    Thanks anyway.

Thanks Jack - am still playing around with it (another bright side is that my husband is far brainier than me, so I'll claim his results as my own!).

My ds lite has: "system date error" how do i fix

Hi there,

Let us investigate in this matter and try to resolve it.

Since the 10th of April, 2010, some users of the Nintendo DS and DSi and the R4i SDHC card have experienced an error that stops the DS card / DSi card from being used. The error contains the message “Loading… System date error! Please check NDS system date” when a user turns on their Nintendo DS, Nintendo DS Lite, Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL console.
The reason of this error seems to be an incompatibility between the actual system date on the Nintendo DS console and the R4i SDHC card. This is possible of the Nintendo DS was played until it lost all power, or if the memory card within the R4i SDHC was formatted incorrectly. It can also be attributed to the date simply being incorrectly calibrated. In some situations, transferring a .SAV file from another Nintendo DS that has a different system date on it, can also trigger the problem. It currently seems to be that the problem only manifested itself after the 10th of April, 2010. While the team behind the R4i SDHC are working on a fix to be a future part of a software update, consumers are advised to go into their Nintendo DS system settings and set the date back until the R4i SDHC card can continue to function as normal. In some cases, setting the date back up to a month is required to temporarily solve the problem.
google_protectAndRun("ads_core.google_render_ad", google_handleError, google_render_ad); Until a software solution is found, the R4i SDHC team would suggest consumers keep their dates wound back. To hear the latest about what solutions, both temporary and permanent, please visit the blog on http://www.dscardworld.com where solutions will be tested before presented to the public.
Hope that works.

DS won't turn on

Hi Atticus,

I have seen this happen when someone plugs the wrong charging cord up to the DS lite, Is there any chance some one did this to your DS lite.It sounds also as if the battery is not making proper connection.

  1. REmove the battery from the compartment
  2. inspect the connector on the battery and where the battery connects to the DSlite.
  3. Wipe thee connections off some way. I suggest some contact cleaner for bith the battery and Battery compartment connections
  4. Try the DS lite again with the battery installed.

I hope this gets you in business  Atticus. Do not Vote until we get it working.  Try this and add a comment to this problem posting. I will answer as soon as I possibly can. Thank you very much for the opportunity to solve your porblem with a DS Lite.

Action replay doesn't let me add codes in custom code list!!!!!

Your Action Replay DS hardware may require resetting if you are experiencing any of the following problems:

* Code Manager PC software is reporting that Action Replay DS does not contain enough free space when it actually contains no codes.

* Code Manager PC software is reporting the console`s battery is low when it’s actually fully charged.

* Multicolored bars are shown on the screen after you confirm the entry of a game ID when trying to manually enter codes.

* You can use the Code Manager PC software without any problems until the Action Replay DS is connected via USB set to the update mode on the console, at which point Windows shows a run time error.

If you are experiencing any of these problems, please follow the steps below to reset the Action Replay DS hardware. Please beware that resetting the Action Replay DS hardware will not restore a default codelist, and any codes which are stored on the Action Replay DS will be erased.

1. With your console powered off insert the Action Replay DS

2. Hold down buttons A+B

3. Turn your console on

4. With A+B still held down, as soon as you see the Action Replay DS license screen press and hold down buttons START+SELECT so that you now have 4 buttons held down

5. Hold all 4 buttons down for around 10 seconds until the Action Replay DS loads to it`s home screen

6. If Action Replay DS doesn’t hold on the license screen for around 10 seconds when you do this, you may need to turn off and try again

My action replay zeroed out.

the ds cartridge need to be reset.

do it by using this method.
  6. If Action Replay DS doesn’t hold on the license screen for around 10 seconds when you do this, you may need to turn off and try again
you can tell if it needs resetting by;
Code Manager PC software is reporting that Action Replay DS does not contain enough free space when it actually contains no codes.
* Code Manager PC software is reporting the console`s battery is low when it’s actually fully charged.
* Multicoloured bars are shown on the screen after you confirm the entry of a game ID when trying to manually enter codes. * You can use the Code Manager PC software without any problems until the Action Replay DS is connected via USB set to the update mode on the console, at which point Windows shows a run time error.

Connect NDS to wi-fi

Is you Discovery set to ON within your router settings, also the ds will only connect via WEP so if you set up your home network with PSK like myself, you cannot connect via wireless

How do I delete my Pictochat User Name on Nintendo DS Lite?

Fastest way is to remove the battery from the DS. You'll also need to set date, time, your birthdate, and your color for the menus.
