Question about SanDisk Sansa Connect MP3 Player

Will not start

When I turn on my Mp3 it will go the the Sansa menu with the four icons, but will not load past that. I have already gone to the site and downloaded the recovery software but when i try to use it, the program says that it is unable to recover my sansa device. What should I do?

What i would recommend you to do is to uninstall the device andreinstall it back...to uninstall it...assuming that you are running windows xp...click on start, right click on my computer and go to properties..you should have your system properties open then click under hardwarethen device manager...look for the sansa device..it usually locatedunder portable device..if its not showing there i would recommend youto look for under disk drivesand see if its there..right click on the device and click onuninstall...after you unintall it unplug your device from thecomputer....Then follow this link below to downloadthe portingkit...http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=A2E73160-E862-4F19-BB26-C0CAFE798955&displaylang=en.Then check the mode of yuor device to make sure it sunder MTP notmsc...To check the mode go under menu, settings and choose usb mode...After you check the mode open up your windows mediaplayer click on tools, options and click under privacy...clear thehistory and caches...after you finish you can plug the device on theback of the computer not the front then windows should recongnize it and it should work properly..if that doesnt solve the problems upgrade your windows media playerto 11 even though you have done that already..and try to reconnect yourdevice..make sure you have it connected on the back USB>>>

And if that doesnt work try to obtain the driver for your sandisk device go to http://www.sandisk.com/DriverDownload/index.asp and find the driver for your device..and then connecct the device on the back of your computer...it should work properly..if you are still having any problems..let me know..i would be more than happy to assist you..

What's your problem?just baught a sansa fuze+ started to download songs listen to the songs I downloaded turned the sansa off turned it back on the color icon showed up then it say loading it want load...

Please download the drivers to the PC, then convert the media to be loaded to the sansa and it will play on the sansa.
Please remove all the files from the sansa players and reload them and this must solve the issue.

Problem recognizing songs in sansa e260 mp3 player.

From what I'm hearing you don't have a good driver. If you still have the disk use that. If not google it or something. I have a Sansa e260 as well so I would suggest loading the songs on in windows media player rather that windows explorer. If you open Media Player and then go to sync and it does not recognize your device, then you have a bad driver. If not, then start syncing your songs that way.

Hope everything works,

Re-load Player to Factory Settings

try resetting the unit. press down on the power/menu button for 15 seconds, and when the pinwheel turns off, wait ten seconds, the turn it on with the HOLD icon in place, and push and hold the record button while it turns on. this will usually bring you to the recovry mode. then you must plug your sandisk onto you rcomputer, and wait for it to tell you when to unplug it. I f this does not work, go to the store that you got it from, and tell them. They will usually happily replace it, but if they don't, then call sandisk, press four for MP3 SUPPORT, and talk to them about it.

First switch your USB control to MSC. Then turn off your mp3 player and activate the hold icon. Then turn it on while holding the record button with hold icon still being activated. then it will go to recovery mode. Now plug your sandisk into the computer and wait until it says RECOVERY COMPLETE...PLEASE DISCONNECT or when it just says for you to disconnect. This worked on my sandisk, and it hopefully work for you.
