Question about Maytag Neptune MAH5500B Front Load Washer

Cannot unlock door

I was running the washer last night, and mid cycle there was a power failure. The power came back on quickly, I went to the washer, which was flashing PF. I touched the start button and it resumed it's cycle. This morning I tried to open the door and it was locked. I touched the buttons on the displey and they do not light up, as if there is no power going to the display. I unplugged the machine, plugged it back in, still nothing will light up.
Is there a fuse inside that needs replacing? How can I get the door open to get the wet clothes out?
Thank you

This can be a bad/loose connection at either the Logic Board, Relay Board, or at one of the 3 main power connection terminals on the back of the unit is the problem..if you have knowledge about this type of machine you can check it but if not better ask for someone who knows about this machine..

Hope that helps...........

Try first putting the control on 0 , then unplugging power cord for ten minutes, then plugging it bac.

If this does not work try restarting the cycle at any point and leave the cycle to complete, then you try openoing the door.

Regarding the fail, PF error just mean power failure.
The problem is not a matter of fuses, fuse is ok.
The problem is that cycle did not finished and there is water still inside the machine.
If the unplugging power cord did not fix the problem, then you need to restart and complete the cycle, so that the machine can drain the water inside, then you should be able to open the door.
If cycle does not restart try also keeping pressed start button for ten seconds or so, then restart cycle.

If the door does not open after doing all the above, then the drain pump is stuck, if that happen then you may need to call a technician to take apart the appliance and fix the pump.

Good to know that you had a bad/loose connection at either the Logic Board, Relay Board, or at one of the 3 main power connection terminals.

Figure out that I thought it was a completely different problem, I understood the door was not opening!

Iwill try to read better the question next time, may apologies.

My LG machine shows dE as soon as I start it. The lid is closed. What to do?

Check the owners handbook if you have it. If not go online to the main LG website find manuals and download one. Have your model and serial number ready, these are on a sticker on the back.

Aeg protex how to open door mid cycle

To open door during mid cycle, turn off washer by plug and wait a couple of minutes until you hear a click, then the lock light ( assuming it has one ) will release, but make sure there is no water in the tub before opening the door. If possible when door is unlocked, run the drain setting and let the water pump out before hand. Hope this helps.

First, are you sure there is power to the unit? Check the breakers and post back.

Door locked no power

If the machine didnt finish the cycle due to the pump being clogged the door will remained locked also if the lock mechanism went bad, the machine will stay locked. Remove the top of the machine by taking the screws from the top back out. Once removed look down the right hand side and you'll see the lock mechanism, usually with a plastic tab you pull to manually release the lock. On some machines it maybe be required and sometimes easier to remove the bottom kickplate and access the lock assembly from there

Maytag neptune washer stops after filling with water on the first cycle...will not spin Neptune stops after filling. No codes. Lid unlocks. Ideas?

Hello n8mtsn,

I would pull the 120VAC power cord to the washer for 10 seconds then power back up.
See if you can get into service mode. To enter Service Mode press and hold he Enviro Plus and Spin Only keys for three seconds or until the control beeps and the display reads “00”. If you can’t get into Service Mode I feel you have a Control Board issue/failure.

If you can get into Service Mode then go to page 15 of the SM and we want to try a Quick Service Cycle test. Follow the instructions to enter the Quick Service Cycle test and let us know the results. If the test will run it will take about 10 minutes.
