What motherboard is in asus k50i-rbbgr05 and whats the best cpu upgrade for it if any currently Pentium duo core t4400

Hello here is the asus home page:

http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/K50IJ/#support_Download

Try to contact the asus support before upgrading the cpu.
Your laptop will probably not support a bigger cpu, because there is a limit here.
The cpu from another model will probably fit the socket, but the pc will not boot at all.
This depends on how the mainboard is build, cache size and so on.
Its also very expensive to buy a cpu for a laptop.
This can easy cost the same as a new laptop.
The mainboard is build by asus or intel.

It would be easyer to by a laptop with a bigger cpu.
They do exist as quad core.

Good luck

A duo 1.5 will work approximatively at the speed of a 3.Ghz cpu, just a bit better

CPU UPGRADE ASUS X50R

I upgraded mine to an Intel Core 2 Duo T5600 (Stepping SL9U3), and it's working fine. It's faster, dual core, 64bit and supports VT, I have more details on my page. Of course I don't guarantee this will work for you. But it works perfectly for me. You might need to update the BIOS too.. (See my page for info, but be warned that this is not an officially supported update.. I flashed a BIOS for a different model as I knew from experience they were internally the same - It would definitely void any warranty though)

Dell inspiron 1420 cpu upgrade ???

There are very little things that you can upgrade in an laptop. The processor that you have on your laptop is top end processor in its family and the thae best you can do is to go for a faster core2duo as any other processor will not fit on your laptop motherboard.

Contact your system manufacturer to know about compatible processor for your laptop.

Does Microstar MS7525 motherboard support Intel(R) Core 2 Quad Q8300 cpu and ATI Radeon HD5450?

Hi, you can see some info here:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01386897&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en#N280

As far that i can see you can not use the Quad core cpu
in this mainboard.
Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:
  • Core 2 Duo E7xxx (Wolfdale-M)
  • Core 2 Duo E4x00 (Conroe)
  • Pentium E2xxx series (Conroe)
  • Celeron Dual Core E1xx0 series (Conroe)
  • Celeron 4xx series (Conroe)

But you can use the graphic card as long it is PCI-E.

Your current motherboard is an mATX form factor. I recommend staying with that form factor for your new motherboard if staying with your current case. When upgrading to the new board you choose don't forget that you may need to upgrade the power supply unit also. You should upgrade to either a socket AM2+ board with dual core amd cpu or socket 775 board with Intel Duo Core2 cpu.
