Hi, i have a blackberry bold 9000, i went out of town for a day and forgot my charger at home and my phone was running low on battery, later that day it died. When i got home to charge it i would show the red light but not flash and then show a white screen with a battery with a bolt across it and wouldn't boot up? please help!

Have you tried plugging the BlackBerry is different outlets or tried a different USB cord?

Does the BlackBerry show a charging symbol or is the LED flashing red or green?

try doing a battery pull if that doesnt work you'll want to run the application loader. i found steps on www.tmobile.com/forumsIf the LCD screen is white, blank or empty, a soft reset may need to be performed, or there may be an error with the display drivers and the OS will need to be re-loaded onto the device. Please follow these steps:

1. Remove the battery from the device.
2. Wait 15 seconds, then replace the battery in the device.
3. Turn the phone back on.
4. If the screen is no longer white and functions correctly, the issue is resolved.
5. If the screen is still white, continue troubleshooting.
6. Confirm BlackBerry Desktop Manager has been downloaded to the computer.

If BlackBerry Destop Manger is installed, skip to step 2. If not,

1. Install Desktop Manager
2. Backup your information using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager (recommended).
3. Download and install the blackberry handheld software to your computer.

Note: Running the Application Loader will take approximately 15-60 minutes to complete.

try plug in the charger with out the batttery, keep patience for a while. it will show the symbol of not having the battery. wait for couple of minutes, then unplug the charger , insert the battery and plug in the charger, wait for couple of minutes. the phone should normally. it worked for. thanks to one of my friend harry.

Get the battery charge charged and power on your phone back after the battery has been charged.

Use the charger that came with your bold 9000 to charge your phone, if it does not charge it, get a similar charger to charge your phone and power it on after charging, ou phone will continue to serve back as before.

But if the battery is not charging at all, it means the cells of the battery are dried, so you will need to get another battery on your phone.

try a diff battery

u must not switch off ur cell.just plug-in the charger n do whatever u like...but it will charge faster if leave it untouched.but dnt switch it off....

There are three possible reasons for your problem.

1) You may need to replace your battery.
2) You may need to replace your charger. (If you have a car charger you can try it before you replace your home charger); or
3) Your phone needs to be sent to a service center for repair.

Hi, please try to swap the battery and check, if still the problem continues then you have to contact blackberry technician or your service provider to service the handset, hope this information will be help full to you

it looks like its a bad battery if not that then its a defective phone return it and get a new one
