You may need to open up some ports on your router cause most routers don't have an option to turn the firewall off especially NAT firewall and besides you don't want to turn that off otherwise some talented people could hack in to your network.

anyways here's link that would tell step by step procedure in forwarding a port on your router.

hope this will solve your problem...

The easiest way of allowing xbox live, is to look in your router settings and look for uPnP, enable this and the router automatically sets up the xbox through the firewall, otherwise look for firewall ports and allow UDP port 88 TCP port 3074,UDP port 3074

You need to disable all firewall.
If your router is set up with Mac filtering, then yes, you will also need to add mac address of your Xbox to the router settings.
If Mac filtering is not set up on the router, try just going into router firewall internal settings, and add Xbox IP as trusted IP.

Note: to access router settings you need to type in the router IP number into Internet Explorer bar, follow instructions on router manual to program the router.

Hi, i cant connect to my wireless internet connection on my xbox 360 super slim, i have xbox live gold though, how can i connect? it gives the same warning over and over again. I'm sure i have the right...

Depending on your router, it may or may not have a MAC Filter, which will prevent you from connecting your Xbox to the internet even though the Network Password is correct. If you have access to your router, add your Xbox MAC ID to your router's MAC Filter and then restart your router.

How do i add the mac address of my xbox 360 to my router

You have to go into the Xbox 360 network settings and locate the MAC address. It's either called MAC address or physical address. Then in your router, you have to find something called mac address filtering and add it to the list. If you don't have mac address filtering enabled, I don't see a reason why you would need to add it to your router.

192.168.1.1 Put that in your browser to access your router, the username is usually admin, and password is usually admin. Good luck!

I cant get an IP adress what i it it says faild

If the X-Box is trying to connect wirelessly to your network, you might need to access the router page and check the wireless settings and make sure that you have the correct encryption or network key, Check the MAC address filtering of the router and make sure that it is disabled or it is off, If you are using a D-link router it is under the Advance tab, Network filter, on the other routers mostly they are under security options, Now after checking those on your router follow the following steps

- Go to the X-Box Dashboard
- Go to Network settings
- If the X-Box is wireless you should have on option for wireless at the bottom of the page
- Select your wireless network and test the X-Box Live
- If it is a wired connections
- Test X-Box Live It should now all connect and confirm the IP, DNS, ICMP
- NAT may show as strict but it should be able to connect to X-Box Live
- If you want to Set the NAT to Open
- Check the IP address of the X-Box by going to Network settings then Edit settings
- Then go to the computer again
- Access the router page
- Go to port forwarding normally located under an advance tab
- Open the ports UDP 88, UDP 3074, and TCP 3074 (here's one example, http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Dlink/DIR-655/Xbox_Live_360.htm)
- The IP address field must be filled with the IP address you got from the X-Box

Hopefully this solve's your problem sir
brakke_usaf..Good Luck and Merry Christmas to you and your family..
