Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Turning on wireless

Maybe you don't have your wireless turned on. Look onboth sides and in front for the Wireless Switch and turn it on.

Also once the wireless switch is turned on there are keystrokes that can togglethe wireless on or off. Normally you would Press and Hold the FN functionkey located at the lower left of the keyboard, then hit the correct F1 thru F12key that toggles the wireless. The correct F1 thru F12 key to hit willhave the wireless signal icon )))) on it. Or it might have the icon of a towerwith the wireless signal icon )))). Normally the screen will displayWireless On or Wireless Off when you toggle the wireless.
On some laptops there will be a button just above the keyboard or on the side or in front of the laptop..

WILL NOT CONNECT TO WI-FI

If your trying to get on the internet with a wireless connection.and running WINDOWS,(many problems with LINUX) .and I am assuming you DO have a wireless router all set up and configured to broadcast the signal (not hidden) ....first we have to determine if the problem is at the router or at the laptop AND at what point its getting stuck ... so first try this

try resetting the router (disconnect the power to it for a few minutes) next --be sure the wifi switch is enabled on the netbook---next---go to CONTROL PANEL>NETWORK CONNECTIONS--right click oin your wifi card and choose properties--highlight INTERNET PROTOCOL and choose properties and be sure "OPTAIN IP ADDRESS AUTOMATICALLY" is checked--Does the laptop "SEE" the router?
You will need your SSID to logon to the router(internet)
follow this is a link to a troubleshooting flow-chart-Do check it out

If you continue to have problem..indicate at what point in the flowchart it is getting stuck

If this was helpful, please indicate so, if not -comment back so we can dig further to resolve this

Wants that you have enter this info to your new laptop this is will work. Also you may do is right click the network connection, click the property. click internet protocol (TCP/IP) click property and make sure that the setting is on obtain an ip address automatic then click close. Wireless connecion

When you press the wireless button on your laptop you should see an icon at the bottom of your screen that looks like a radio tower, or something else along those lines. If you right click on that icon there should be a selection labeled, 'search for wireless connection' or 'connect to a wireless device', if you click on that phrase, your adaptor will send out a signal to find the nearest access point. Providing you have a wireless router setup in your house, it should orient itself to that router. You will then need to perform a few simple steps to set up your wireless connection. (i.e. The application will ask you if you would like to connect to that device.)

If you do not have a wireless router setup in your house, then you will not be able to connect.

If it is brand new is should really go back to the supplier. But out on the Net it seems you are not alone. one chap suggested getting the driver frm the maker. Create a system restore point before installing and if it works fine create another.
