Question about Fuji FinePix 50i Digital Camera

2 Answers

Bluish flashes I have problems with bluish flashes on some of the images in the viewer as well as on the prints. Sometimes if you line up your camera you can see these flashes, but if you let the camera 'settle down' for 5 or 6 seconds then the blueing disappears. I suspect it might be something to do with light levels but am no expert so any help would be appreciated.

There is a problem with blue marks on the Sony 707 but I've never heard of any problem on the Fuji. Does the flash coincide with handling the camera. If you tap the camera does the blue flash happen or is it completely random? If it coincides with physical shock then I'd say you have a bad connection on the video board. Either a dry joint or loose ribbon cable. If it's completely random then it sounds like a real tough fault. I've checked if there's a firmware upgrade but noneare available. Are you sure it's not reflections caused by lighting or the sun hitting the lens at certain angles. So we can rule out the LCD because it shows up on the picture taken. We can rule out lens addons due to it being intermittent. All I can advise is an email to Fuji support explaining the problem fully and maybe a few pictures showing the fault. If it's a CCD or videoboard problem it will mean a trip for the camera to a Fuji repair agent. BMW

It could be usefull to have an attachment so we could see how it looks when it occurs. Have you tried working with the manual white balance?

Image projector is bluish

If you mean the image projected on the screen appears bluish - You might check the physical connection of the cable attached to your projector. Or the cable may have bent pins.

If you have access to another working Epson Projector, see if you get the same result using the same cable(s).

Well i need more info. have you tried unplugging the tv for around 60 seconds? Was the "warped bluish screen" right before it died. Or is this when you turn it on it happens?(Bluish screen)? Because if no power at all and no picture at all. Could be Power supply. If you have some sort of picture with blue lines that are stable? You have a convergence problem. Get back to me with info i can help.

Bluish colour with Lumix TZ3

I found 2 different Lumix TZ3 cameras.
http://www2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/PNAEndecaSearchCmd?N=779832097+250033510&Ne=&Ns=&Nr=12001&No=0&Ntt=tz3&Ntk=SupportSearch&URL=vSupportSearch&cmTag=false&cm_sp=&cn=&catalogId=13401&storeId=15001

In the manual, I couldn't find a reference to a bluish color.

In FAQ's, I found the following:
What is “Intelligent Auto Mode” (or IA Mode)?
“IA mode” automatically activates MEGA O.I.S., Intelligent ISO Control, Face Detection, Intelligent Scene Selector, Intelligent Exposure, and Quick Auto Focus to match your subject and shooting situation. IA Mode is a great mode for beginning photographers

My indoor photos all have a greeninsh yellow effect

That's caused by lighting. More specifically by the type of lighting in use there. Every different type of light puts out a certain color range, some pink, some green, some yellow, some bluish.

How do you fix it?

1. use flash. Flash puts out a bluish light color balanced for daylight. Most film available today is color balanced for daylight. Problem here is that on camera flashes are weak and only reach about 10 feet. The rest of the picture will be greenish yellow. More powerful flashes extend that 10 feet based on the power they have, and may provide enough coverage. The reach of the flash is also determined by the film ASA.

2. use a filter on the lens. Get an FLD (flourescent-daylight) filter.

3. Scan the negs to digital and correct with Photoshop or another photo editing program.
