How do i set up a scaner on a hp officejet j4580 all in one printer

There must be a way... Usually HP printers have schematic how it is to be done. Those are in a litlle book that came with printer.

Changing the HP OfficeJet J4580 language on the printer control panel:

1) With the printer powered ON, unplug the power cord
2) Wait 30 seconds
3) Press and hold the <#> key and the <3> key at the same time as you plug the power cord back in
4) Release the keys you were holding
5) If your printer does not power on automatically, press the power button
6) Press the setup button (looks like a wrench)
7) Use the arrow keys to navigate to "Basic Settings" and press <OK>
8) Use the arrow keys to navigate to "Set Language" and press <OK>
9) Use the arrow keys to navigate to the language of your choice, and press <OK>
10) Press <1> on the keypad to confirm
11) When "Set Location" appears, use the arrow keys to navigate to your country/region, and then press the <1> key to confirm

Hi,
Go to Start->Control Panel->Printers and faxes. Then right click on your printer and choose printing preferences. There you will find a setting for quality and set it to draft (or fast draft).
