Question about Sun Solaris 8
A lightning strike burnt out the onboard Ethernet adapter so I have added a plug-in adapter. What do I need to do to get the system to recognize the adapter and use it instead of the dead, onboard Ehternet?
I have the knowledge to be able to do that on an Intel PC but need some guidance on doing that on an Ultra 30. Where can I find instructions on how to change BIOS settings on a sparc based system?

You should first restart computer, then go to BIOS settings and disable the onboard adapter. Then boot up windows and install drivers for the new adapter and it should work. If that doesn't help, please ask for more help here.
