My SX-102M large metal gear has broken teeth. It is the larger of the two metal gears on the respective shredder shafts. If anyone has one, would be interested in acquriing. I know some users had their plastic gear go bad. I have flipped mine around, but I think this is only a temporary repair.
BTW, I added new grease to the gears when reinstalling, and the drivetrain turns much faster now.

I have the SC800 apart. My problem is not fixing it. I just need the part. The large gear which appears to be made of pewter has a couple of teeth missing. If I could find the part I can fix it. It's a very simple machine. If you know where I can get the part I would appreciate you letting me know..
I suggest using Belzona (metal compound). Mix it with its hardner, paste it over the broken gear (dont worry if it gets over a couple of other gears. Let Belzona sink and dry (4-5hours). Get a Dremel drill with a fine blade on it and cut accurately where the teeth are meant to be. Voila, you have fixed your gear.
