Downloaded ppt from microsoft site,started setup....setup iis not working and task manager is not working ,,and win 7 does not shut down........i have to hibernate everytime

Press CTRL and ALT and DELete together in select task manager. Select Winzip from running applications and select end task

You can use MS products (FTP Service and IIS Management Console) or a third party software (FileZilla.)
To use MS, you have to enable FTP under "Add Features" in Programs and IIS service.
Then you have to configure IIS:

1. Run Administrative Tools -> Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager
2. Expand the local machine
3. Right-click "Sites" and add "FTP Site"
4. Call it "Default FTP Site" and create the path like "C:\inetpub\ftproot"
5. click "Next"
6. Enable Start FTP site automatically, select Allow SSL
7. click "Next"
8. Enable Anonymous Authentication
9. click "Finish"

If your system is running XP then there is a file from Microsoft that you can download that may fix the problem. Remember once you have installed the fix you have to restart the computer for any changes to take effect.

If your sysem is not XP and you are using Vista or Win 7 then don't download this fix as it will not work. Instead right click on Computer and select Properties from the sub menu. When the properties window comes up have a look at the processor under System and see if it shows how many cores the processor is currently showing.

Hold down the Ctrl key and the Alt key then press the Del key. This will then bring up the Task Manager. Then click on Shut Down then click Turn Off.
This will then shut down your laptop properly.

Un-install the drivers installed on the PC and remove the web-cam, Now connect to the microsoft official site and download the legal driver for the VX 3000 applicable for Windows 7. Install and connect the web-cam which will be detected and installed.

It can be done easily by editing the registry. I will try to explain in detail. Follow these steps

1. Check that your PC is virus free. Install Antivirus program if required.
2. Regisry is enabled. Goto run command from start menu OR Press Win key+R and type 'regedit'. It would show up registry.
3. If registry is enabled you can edit it.
4. Open notepad and paste the following four lines

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
"DisableTaskMgr"=dword:00000000
"DisableRegistryTools"=dword:00000000

5. TYPE the file name ENABLETASKMANAGER.REG
6. Choose 'all files' option from 'Save as type'
7. Now you should have a registry editing patch. Please note that its extension is .reg
8. Double click the patch to add it to registry and task manager would be enabled.
9. Alternatively, you can download PROCESS EXPLORER, whichis a replacement of task manager from internet. It works even if the taskmanager is disabled.

Go to AVG's homepage and look for a removal tool. Uninstall the software and download Microsoft Security Essentials...It's free and perpetual. You may also consider upgrading to Win 7 or downgrading to XP. Vista is the reason many folks are back to XP and Microsoft's reason for creating Win 7.

Did you add yahoo tollbar? or take it out? try to reinstall the browser and let me know
