    Evileyes,

If you had a LCD monitor, your inverter is located in were you plugged your power cord. If you had a LCD monitor with a AC Adapter. Then the inverter located inside, it's a rectangle piece on the left hand side. Don't forget to checked you AC Adapter too...seeing if it have power or not. With power it should lite green. If not, you will need to replaced the capacitors too. But if you got a CTR monitor...

don't bother to fixed...get a new LCD monitor. Hehehe.... Have a nice weekend!

My flatron L1710S flat screen will not come out of power saving mode. When I turn on the monitor the power button/light is green for a few seconds, the screen indicated "power saving mode", then...

I switch on my PC, ensuring that all cables, leads and power supplies are connected properly. The tower powers up no problems at all. I switch the screen on, the green led lights up, the screen is completely black. A blue box appears centrally on the screen with the text 'power saving mode'. The green led light turns amber and then the screen just goes black.

Please don't suggest going to control panel, as I can't get that far.

PLEASE PLEASE CAN ANYONE SUGGEST ANYTHING give me

Black screen on monitor when plugged in., no picture at all

When you plug in the monitor no lights come on at all green, orange nothing ?
Try
1. Using a new power cord ( maybe something is wrong with it)
2. Plugging it into a new socket on the wall.

If you can't get power to the monitor at all you may be in for buying a new one.

Screen not lighting up and staying black.

if the green light is always on that means there is no prob concerning the power and the monitor itself. the problem seems to be coming from your graphic card..
try with another graphic card..

OR
you might not configure the screen resolution to the appropriate level..
can you run your pc correctly in safe mode??

Screen black

Bill, It could be your LCD backlight giving you problems. With the computer on and the monitor power LED green shine a flashlight in the lower left hand corner of your screen. Look for the ?Start? button, if your backlight is not working you?ll see a faint ?start? button if you look closely. Depending on the monitor this is usually and economically repairable problem.
