Replacing clock battery on the ecj-b35s

According to the manual, the battery is integrated into the main body and requires taking it to a dealer for replacement. Now how hard is it to replace a battery anyway.

I am just not sure exactly where it's located. Assume it's under the front plate where the menu and button are located since that's the logical place.

Has anyone replaced one of these batteries and has some good pointers before I start taking things apart! I would rather do it right the first time rather than have to search around for it by taking different thing off looking for it.

Any help, suggestions would be appreciated

This web site has a photos on how to open the Sanyo rice cooker:
http://www.efsowell.us/ed/SanyoECJ-B35SRiceCooker

The solution shown is to install an external battery pack,
but in the battery looks like a 3 volt Panasonic CR-2354/HFN .

(picture is too blurred to read a part number,
so you should check your own cooker).

http://www.digikey.com carries this part
(listed as P274-ND) for $1.90 plus $7.50 UPS ground service
(only carrier authorized to ship lithium batteries)

I used this battery to repair my William Sonoma SR-MK10S
Fuzzy Logic Rice Cooker which is the same as a
NationalSR-MM10N. I found the Panasonic repair manual at

http://www.usersmanualguide.com/panasonic/rice_cooker/srmm10n

Take it apart and find the part number from the battery. Make sure if it's a soldered battery, your replacement has solderable tabs built in.

    1. Remove the two screws at the bottom of the face plate. Remove face plate.
    2. Remove the three screws holding the clock assembly to the cooker body. One screw is visible at the top and the other two are hidden under the tabs on the plastic cover. Lift the tabs and remove these screws.
    3. Remove the 3 mounting bolts at the bottom of the cooker. Pull the bottom section off the cooker.
    4. Pull out the clock assembly. The battery is on the circuit board.

I couldn't pull out the bottom section. Where is it separate? Any tricks I can apply?

It is frustrating because I can see the battery from a hole in the plastic panel, but I can't reach it!

After removing the positive and negative tabs from the dead battery, simply solder the correct tab to a Renata battery holder(614-SMTU2450N-LP). Purchase 3 volt lith battery(658-CR2450) and insert into holder. Both parts are available at Mposer Electronics. Next battery replacement is a snap-out-old, snap-in-new. Of course you'll have to disassemble/reassemble the faceplate, bottom, inner control panel, and two(one metal/one plastic) plates. It takes about 1/2 hour for this process, and you now can replace batteries easily when required.

I can change the time on radio clock but it just stays on that time

I had this problem after a main dealer repair that required the battery to be disconnected for a couple of hours. I put i right by leaving the battery disconnected for 12 hours until all the memory including radio presets had cleared. After reconnecting it returned to normal. I t may take yours longer or less time but the radio presets clearing seems to indicate it will restore the clock.

When I turn on my handycam the Clock Set screen comes up and whatever I press, nothing responds. I cannot get this screen to go away so I can play tapes and record

Hi,every camcorder has a special built-in battery for its clock in addition to the external camcorder battery which works independently. You have to replace it...
Would you please locate that small battery on the main body of camcorder hiding with small cover lid possibly you need to get in with a tiny screw to open it..and replace that battery and re adjust the clock once ,than no more the Clock Set screen comes up..

Take care and please Remember to rate/vote and give me 4 Thumbs Up

I need the user manual for the Sanyo ECJ-S35K 3-1 2-Cup Rice Cooker. Can you provide me a link?

Most major manufacturers supply manuals online so if you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, you may be pleasantly surprised as usually, if available, one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, Dealer Network for spare part supplies as required.

The information is normally free of charge.

I hope this helps.

Air bag replacement

There is something called a clock spring that is to be replaced and time an air bag is deployed. The main risk is an unexpected deployment while installing a new one. This can kill you!!! You must disconnect the battery(both terminals) and wait 30 min for backup power in the control module to go away. then be careful not to create static while handling the bag. Always hold it so it faces away from you if it where to deploy. There is a yellow conector on the back side and two screws to remove and replace the bag. The clock spring requires pulling the steering wheel. I believe you can rent steering wheel pullers.the clock spring just has screws and a connector. this is not rocket science it is done daily in body shops just follow the precautions and you will be fine

Dashboard light replacement

1) The clock slides out by carefully prying with a fine screw driver. Take care not to scratch the dashboard fascia. It has a mini light bulb in the back. take it to the dealer / parts shop so they can see the proper color. Accord dashboards came with 3 different color plastic covers on the bulbs. Also, when you take out the clock, you will be able to see the 3rd screw that is holding the a/c controls fascia.

Problem with Nikon Coolpix Digital Camera internal battery

Hi

This is a design glitch with these Nikons and many people are complaining about it. The clock battery is supposed to take a small charge from the main battery - enough to maintain the settings when the camera is not in use. However the clock battery that is used is not sufficiently strong enough to hold a charge for an adequate length of time.

As this is somewhat of a design flaw it is unlikely that a new clock battery will make any significant difference to the problem you are experiencing. Neither is it a user serviceable job and for these reasons I do not recommend that you try to replace the clock battery.

Nikon themselves say the following;

"The clock-calendar is powered by a separate rechargeable battery, which is charged as necessary when the main battery is installed. If the camera has been stored with the main battery removed for a long period of time, the clock may need to be reset.

Once the main battery has been reinserted, the clock battery will recharge in several hours, during which time the main battery should be left in the camera."

Hope this helps. Thanks for using FixYa.
