Not sure yet, but I assume you mean the belt that drives the brush at the base.
If it is an older style cleaner, there would a be cover held on by a few screws.
This hold the brush in place so tkae note of how it is in place should it fall out of place.
Lift the belt off the motor spindle to replaceit.
