While I was watching a film on the projector, I tried to plug in the air-conditioner and the circuit breakers of the house are turned off. I think there was a short-circuit or sth like that (as I really do not understand about electricity). My projector does not turn on anymore. There is no light, nothing, like dead.
I replaced the fuse with an identical one with 250V, 3A but still no electricity. What else can the problem be?I replaced the fuse with an identical one with 250V, 3A but still no electricity. What else can the problem be?

First check the outlet the unit is plugged into. It may be dead, due to a circuit breaker being tripped. Also, the interior of the outlet may be damaged or has a loose wire.
If a circuit breaker was tripped, unplug the unit before resetting the circuit breaker. Then plug the unit back in and turn it ON. If the breaker trips again, there may be a short in the AC wiring or there is another electric appliance on that same circuit, that may be causing an overload, when the AC unit is ON.
Hope this helps you to start troubleshooting the problem. Thanks for choosing FixYa.
If it is the breaker box in your house, then just push it to the side so it is lined up with the other breakers in the box. Actually any breaker will be like that. If it is the disconnect outside then it pulls out and you flip it over and put it back in.
Inspect the wiring and the terminals. There may be a short circuit somewhere. If you have a tester, you may check the continuity of the two wires. Test the wires after the breaker, the part that goes to the unit.
Hi, check house panel circuit breakers or fuses, check receptacle/outlet. if you got plug/receptacle, check for reset button, press reset. if there's power at receptacle, could be faulty circuit board. good luck
Hi, sometimes they burnt out, or maybe there's a short circuit in system, you can remove it and replace with regular plug to match, from hardware or electrical store, it's just like a circuit breaker in a plug, just additional protection, but your house panel have it's own circuit breakers, it's safe to remove and put regular plug to match receptacle.good luck.
HOW MANY BTU IS THE AIR CONDITIONER? And is it 110 or 220 line!
If it is using 110 or 115 volts like normal house current and it throws circuit breakers in your electric box, then you need to run a dedicated line just for the Air Conditioner! Usually this happens to 110 -115 volt air-conditioners that are more than 12,000 BTU and do not have a dedicated electric line in the wall only for the air conditioner!
New air conditioners have a circuit breaker built into the units plug! And I have seen some that throw that breaker to off frequently even if it's only an electric surge! Which it should not do! if its the case and it's new, take it back to the store and ask for a different model, size, or brand! Fedders had an 18,000 BTU/ 110-115 volt unit that did this with every single unit last year! I stopped selling that unit only!!
