If the Display shuts down after you see a BenQ logo at startup but power LED remains on,the problem is with the Invertor board.Transistors 2SC5707 are known to be defective with other related components. You can try replacing if u are technically able and willing.

My LG 42PQ3000 is making a clicking noise from the large PCB when power is turned on, there is no picture and the stand by light is going on and off

Standby light goin On/Off, means the power supply regulator board is OK. Blinking of the standby light indicates a fault. It might be to the backlight inverter board, or the main board. These blinks of standby light are called blinking codes, from the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty board inside the TV. Count this blinks. If you wish to get more details about these blinking codes, check the site linked here.http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Pull up previous posts by its left sidebar, or type in the brand name and model number to of your set, to its search box, and press 'Enter' or view it in Mosaic / Timeslide option.

Check the Lamp Fan if it stops running when Lamp Lights then Fan is defective.
Samsung Parts.com 1-800-627-4368 If Fan is OK then this meabs you have Good Lamp and Good Ballast board then the problem will be in the DMD moduel.

Hi, I have an LG Flatron TV which I bought 6 years ago. Good picture, no problems until now. I put the set on standby via the remote. Later, when I put it on via the remote all I got was sound and no...

Since the screen keeps turning off and sound only remains have a look at the inverter board for any buldging capacitors which look like blue cans, there is most probably a short in the inverter and the powersupply is sensing this thus turning it back into standby to prevent damage to the tv.
